interview you will only see on nbc bay area bay area. nine women accused mayor dominic foppoli of sexual assault and now he's resigning. one of his victims spoke to us and we have the report from sonoma county. >> reporter: rachel hunt stepped away from sonoma government in september but she's known dominic foppoli since they worked in government together in 2015. she's happy to learned he reseened. >> it was a huge relief. >> reporter: according to the san francisco chronicle, the accusation was filed with palm beach police by former reality star farrah abraham, six days before the chronicle published its first story about sexual harassment by foppoli. according to the chronicle, they allegations. hundley said she's surprised to

learn about photos because she says foppoli took pictures of her after her alleged incident. >> whether i started hearing what was happening to other women, it seemed like having some sort of photo or video with a part of what he did. >> reporter: along with the investigation in florida, the sonoma county sheriff's department says they also have an active investigation. hundley tells me a deputy recently interviewed her. >> i met with them on wednesday. we talked for about an hour, and it was -- i have to give credit to the sheriff's department, they seemed to be handling it very well. >> as foppoli faces investigation in two states, windsor town leaders are still unclear about how exactly to move forward. that's because foppoli seems to have sent his res ig resignation letter but it has not reached town hall. >> i don't believe they received formally the letter or email. >> reporter: but samsamen said it's a relief that foppoli

decided to leave. the contentious town meeting with resume. now other town leaders are hoping his departure will let them get back to town business. new this morning, a pedestrian was killed after being hit by a car in the south bay. it happened just after 10:45 last night on center road. san jose police say the driver is cooperating with the investigation. and then about 15 minutes after that down the street, san jose police responded to a shooting on saddle brook drive. investigators say a man was shot and suffering life-threatening injuries. they're looking for a shooter and investigating a motive. happening today in san francisco, people are invited to gather in support of a young boy accused of stealing a sandwich. you may remember last month jamari oliver, a black fifth

greater, said he was falsely accused of stealing a sandwich at the safeway store on upper market street. security guards stopped him, accused him of stealing, even though he showed them a receipt. this is video from a previous rally earlier this morning in support of oliver. today the third baptist church of san francisco will hold a rally at that same safeway, demanding an apology from the store as well as training for store management and security. that rally begins at 10:00 a.m. tuesday may 25th will mark one year since former minneapolis police officer derek chauvin killed george floyd in minneapolis. here in the bay area, several peninsula churches will hold a prayer vigil to remember floyd. organizers say the vigil is help the community come together to fight, and pray against division and violence. the vigil will be out palo alto city hall today at 4:00.

and they're getting ready to toss out orange restrictions. red and orange and yellow tiers will be gone and we will move under green in just under one month. so what will that look like? here's some of the takeaways. restaurants and stores can return to full capacity. no more limits on the number of people allowed inside. when traveling, california will not be requiring california passports to verify whether you're vaccinated. however, some private companies and events might need you to show proof of vaccination. when you do come back from traveling outside of california, you no longer have to self-quarantine. and large gatherings like concerts, sporting events, conventions, if the event has more than 10,000 people and is outdoors, the state will not require proof of vaccination nor a negative covid test but it will be recommended. for indoor events, with more than 5,000 people like a warriors game, for example,

welcome back. it is 7:11 on your saturday morning. sunny skies and a little haze as we look outside at sfo. vianey has your full microclimate forecast in just about five minutes. she said most will be seeing sun today. winds won't be as bad but it will still be around. shop owners in san francisco's chinatown are pleading for the san francisco police department to step up their presence there. many business owners gathered yesterday for a meeting in hopes that a bigger police presence would help potential visitors feel safe in china taken. their demands come in the wake of the attack last year of the store owner you're seeing on your screen. police say it was a teenager who went into a chinatown store and stole phone cases. he then returned, got into a confrontation and pepper sprayed the store owner. happening today, a rally in san francisco is to stand up for the asian community.

check out cupertino at 73. concord 76, antioch, 77, oakland 66. we will get a light breeze. not as windy but we will still see a shift into the afternoon with the winds. if you're heading to the city, winds are about 18 miles per hour. temperatures in the 60s. let's get to the drought monitor. i want to show it to you again because it's important. we reached the d-4 category, which is now officially an exceptional drought. notice the maroon color, portions of the north and east bay. but what does it mean for you? i will get to that in a second. i also want to show you a beautiful shot of south lay tahoe. they had a stormy day. but we're only at about 2% average. and you might think what does the sierra snowpack have to do

with drought? they provide a water supply during the spring when it melts and it heads into our reservoirs and streams and good stuff. but right now with the exceptional drought, we are seeing a lack of rain throughout the entire bay area. this is what it could mean for you. instead of having an actual fire season, it could turn into a year-around fire season, which means fire starts sooner and quicker. also water shortages in some areas or, you know, restrictions. the fields are shallow and it could bring an increase in food prices. and mortality rates are high without the moisture. think of the fires around us and we've seen poor air quality. the high pressure builds and tends to trap in smoke or debris or particles right at the surface. these are some of the impacts they could have. the next seven days, we're not monitoring rain. it will be breezy with temperatures warming up into the 80s. >> wow, 80s.
