approval of the george floyd in justice policing act visiting capitol hill, talking to lawmakers of both parties and a visit to the white house several members of the floyd family will be there mother, sister, a few brothers, his young daughter gianna who you've heard the president talk about before he has spoken with his family before and the focus today is to try to create some momentum for getting this legislation passed the president had hoped it would happen by today, by the first anniversary, it has not. negotiations are still happening between the white house and senators of both parties the white house saying the president is hopeful >> as it relates to the george floyd act, he is encourage that there is ongoing progress and that there is a sense from the negotiators that there is a path forward. he believeshe it continue to press on that.
