cooler trend for the interior valleys. take a look. we'll notice some low clouds start to roll in and fog around the coast. and then plenty of sunshine yet again at 70 degrees by about 11:00 a.m., warmer spots in through the tri-valley, expect to see, of course, the upper 80s. full forecast in just a few minutes. mike you're going to use warren boulevard over in fremont that is closed right now and so is an on ramp. the on and off ramp with currently closed. the exit will get you through the area as well. the only major surprise. we do have the closure now and will talk about that coming up, back to you. happening today cal osha will discuss a proposal requiring employees to stay masked at all indoor work places. it would apply even after the state reopens on june 15th and

even after you're vaccinated. despite pushback health experts say we've had our share of outbreaks and cal osha guidelines are aimed at keeping workers safe. many businesses we've spoken with say they will comply with whatever state officials decide. >> we're expected to learn more about what the school year will look like in the fall. officials are holding a news conference later this morning. they're backing schools to return full time in-person learning as cases continue to drop. health officials say they've learned the risk of transmission is very low among children wearing masks. a follow yum for you now and new life for millions of californians stuck waiting for jobless benefits. a federal judge blocked bank of america for freezing edd accounts suspected of fraud. the state contracts to distribute the funds. the judge ordered the bank to

improve its response to people who claim their benefits were stolen. the latest ucla anderson forecast is predicting a slower rebound that will gain momentum moving into next year. the current jobless rate is 8.3%. it may be 4% by the end of 2023. when it comes to tracking so-called breakthrough covid cases california is reportedly planning to scale back its data collection. "the chronicle" reports california plans to align with the cdc framework which tracks only cases leading to hospitalization or death. california recorded a little under 5,000 breakthrough cases statewide. well this morning there is a desperate search under way to find a missing san francisco

grandmother. >> police are widening their net to try to find her. jean elle has more. >> reporter: tony says he is praying for the woman on this missing person flier, 84-year-old jean chang kan fung hasn't been seen since she left her richmond district home for a regular walk friday afternoon. she never came home. >> help bring her back. >> reporter: city officials are concerned about her well-being, too, holding a virtual press conference urging all to keep an eye out for grandma fung. >> officers from the san francisco police department have been working tirelessly on this but at this point we are asking for assistance for all san franciscans. >> reporter: she was last scene at the marina gateway. >> they saw her near the they approached her.

it is 4:46. a live look over san jose. a beautiful shot with the lights twinkling. folks are beginning to wake up. a beautiful week so far. vianey what do we have in store the rest of the week? >> we have plenty of sunshine on the way. at least no record heat and there is going to be sort of a cooldown. and into the week a slight change. in san francisco a look at the airport. we will be noticing around the coastline and the bay a lot

cooler. current temperatures as you head out the door, san francisco 49 degrees. then when you look at inland temperatures 60 degrees. we haven't been needing a sweater. it warms up so quickly. 55 in san jose. let's take a look at the 24-hour temperature change. we do have some fog and right now there's no major difference when it comes to those temperatures but it will be more noticeable heading into the afternoon. let's look at your daytime highs. how about san jose and palo alto dipping down into some upper 70s perhaps maybe topping out into the 80s, 86 degrees for morgan hill. long-range outlook, we had that high pressure made its exit. we had an onshore flow that brought the return of the marine layer into the forecast.

it's what helped keep our temperatures cooler. we are going to see temperatures slightly warm up again into saturday and sunday in through the interior valleys. back up by a few degrees and then just looking at the extended forecast heading into sunday night, this high pressure that will warm us up a little bit more into the weekend will start to make its exit and behind it we've got a low-level system that will once again cool us off. how much cooler? the inland temperatures so, again, still going to be pretty warm, upper 80s, and by saturday and sunday we have lots of sunshine in the forecast. and into the start of monday next week, look at this. this is several days of 70s as daytime highs. a lot more comfortable even for areas like the tri-valley which have been getting some of that heat. notice we do have some wind that picks up into friday. notice how the change in

temperatures isn't as noticeable around the coast. mike has breaking news. we talked about an overturned dump truck and this is why on and off ramp are both closed. it'll be a while, an active crime scene. they have to clean up not only this garbage but the truck itself and an oil spill from what i understand. just before you get past the scene or dixon landing road is not presenting a problem for the nimitz. we know that will pick up in the next couple of minutes. back to you. a little bit of a cleanup out there.

a man facing charges after they say he tried to join isis. elvin williams was arrested at seatac airport as he tried to board a flight on his way to the middle east. officials say members of the mosque alerted the fbi he was talking to isis and swore an oath of allegiance. he said if he could not travel overseas he would commit an attack on the u.s. on behalf of the terror group. an undercover officer shot and killed a man. demetrius stanley you can see walking around a berryessa enabled on monday night carrying a gun. he opens a car door and inside was a plains clothed officer who shot and killed him. >> reporter: police releasing

this video showing demetrius stanley walking down the street and appearing to hold a gun after chasing away what turned out to be an judged cover officer on foot. he walks back, opens the door and that's when the second officer shoots and kills him. >> there was no plan to arrest or to take any enforcement action. >> reporter: they weren't wearing body cameras. stanley had a warrant out for armed robbery and they wanted to confirm where he lived. but his family and activists are upset and questioning how he would know the two men why officers. >> another black man has died at the hands of police. it's never easy to lose someone.

>> reporter: i spoke to an independent auditor about this case, ladoris kordell. >> why is one of the officers doing the surveillance out of the vehicle and walking around mr. stanley's home? this is at night. >> reporter: she says police explanation leaves a lot of questions. >> no body cameras are used when you're doing undercover surveillance. that policy needs to change. there is a possibility that things can go south and there could be a shooting. >> reporter: ian cull "today in the bay." a mountain lion prowling around one milbrae enabled. it was caught on surveillance video in early march. he says he spotted it about once a month ever since.
