mention this is a changing situation. there could be a new fire that stoortsz change in the direction of the wind. right now where we're expecting to see some of the worst air quality is going to be in the santa clara valley. that's the reason why they decided to go ahead and extend the spare the air alert. 65 degrees, the bay area air quality management district i mean. san jose live look. livermore 68 degrees. we're starting out kind of mild, i want to say warm. to start out in the 70s even though yesterday was the unofficial end to summer, doesn't feel that way. 24-hour temperature change, five degrees warmer in livermore compared to the past 24 hours. concord four degrees warmer and through santa rosa and napa as well. as far as your hour-by-hour outlook, we will get a couple morning low clouds pass through. any time we see cloud cover mixed with the smoke it does create the layer of haze, but the inland heat and the rise in temperatures with the high pressure also plays a role in all the gunk that stays at the surface level which creates pollution for us.
4:52 am
concord, 103, antioch 104, down to the south bay, 92 degrees in san jose. check out the coastline. we have 60s and 70s. so how long are we expecting to keep this air quality? well, we don't have much in the way of wind, but by this evening we could see some west/northwest winds start to pick up and that could help push out some of the smoke. for now we have a mix of an air quality advisory and spare the air alert. the advisory remains from the north bay to the south bay. santa clara valley specifically. once the aqi gets above the 101 mark or the at 101 mark that's whens the district decides to issue a spare the air alert. as far as cooling goes we're going to stay hot for the next several days, but we are monitoring a chance of some shower activity really to our east, though. not really going to come in the form of rain for us, but it's going to bring us cloud cover, a little bit of cooling and maybe a possibility of seeing some sierra showers and maybe even
