>> reporter: good morning. well, we know that the president gets a briefing today and that tomorrow he plans to roll out this plan, phillip it's a six-point plan including some public/private partnerships to try to get more people vaccinated right now about 75% of american adults are meantime, health officials are very concerned about what's happening out there. 100,000 people hospitalized with some areas, as you just heard running short on icu beds. also there is increased concern about a surge in cases after the labor day holiday. dr. anthony fauci concerned specifically about those packed football stadiums we saw, in many cases people were not wearing masks. >> i think it's really unfortunate. i mean, people would like to say we're done with covid, but covid is not done with us. i would hope that most of the people in that stadium were vaccinated and even if they were, the close congregate setting, they should've been wearing masks

comments the man was cited for alleged public intoxication and was taken to the hospital for unknown reasons. now to a trial that is history in the making. opening statements in the trial of former theranos founder and ceo elizabeth holmes begins today. holmes is accused of defrauding investors, doctors and patients, she claimed that her devices could run over 200 blood tests from the prick of a finger she was named one of the richest women in america by forbs in 2014 and even dubbed the next steve jobs but a "wall street journal" report revealed that her devices were not working patients were getting incorrect results. and now she is facing 20 years in prison. holmes has pleaded not guilty to wire fraud and conspiracy charges. three top christian leaders issued an unprecedented joint statement on the climate crisis. the message from pope francis
