matt bradley, nbc news breaking overnight, the human remains believed to belong to gabrielle petito have been found. it's a case that's brought grief on a family and sparked a massive search for her she was last seen in august but reported missing september 11. authorities made the discovery in a national park in wyoming. her fiance returned to florida without her and refused to speak to authorities about her whereabouts. >> human remains were discovered consistent with the description of gabrielle petito. full identification has not been completed to confirm 100% that we found gabby, but her family has been notified of this discovery. the cause of death has not been determined at this time. >> the circumstances surrounding her disappearance is still unknown. but we do know she and her fiance, brian laundrie, had been

fighting during their cross country road trip. and in a new twist, he's also disappeared. his family says he left with a backpack last weekend and has not returned there is a massive effort under way to find him. he remains a person of interest. the u.s. has begun a massive operation at the u.s./mexico border nearly 15,000 migrants have been held under a bridge in del rio, texas. officials tried to block entry into texas after immigrants had been crossing into the country for nearly three weeks many of the haitians have been living in latin america for years and are now seeking asylum in the u.s. after job opportunities have dissipated in countries like brazil. flights of migrants have been sent back to their homeland of haiti with more expected in the coming days. others are bussed to processing centers. the coronavirus continues to infect americans at an alarming
