morning. what are some of the big take aways? >> reporter: good morning, frances haugen gave a rare glimpse. a former facebook manager turned whistleblower. she is accusing the network putting profit over safety her own research shows its products can contribute to self esteam issues in children. >> algorithms are very smart in the sense that they latch on to things people want to continue to engage with unfortunately in the case of teen girls and self harm, they develop feedback cycles, children are using instagram to s soothe and facebook says they cannot adequately identify dangerous content.
