>> i am marcus washington. we have a lot to get to this morning. first, let's get you started with weather and traffic. >> we have had a lot of changes headed our way. it has been breezy and cool. we are watching high humidity and a chance of slight showers. you could see rain moving through our north, that as temperatures are in the low to mid-40s in the north bay, and we could see a spotty shower or two and it's definitely a chilly start to our morning. our temperatures today stay mostly in the 60s, and we will have a warm-up after this. a lot more changes ahead. mike, you have a new addition to the report? >> chp gave an advisory over the san mateo bridge. we typically see that in the

reports for the wind, and we also have the dumbarton bridge where somebody said it was windy, too. south bay, nothing really big. altamont pass, another note about the wind there. and the antioch and benicia bridge windy as well. yesterday contra costa county health officer said the county could enter the yellow tier as soon as late october. at last check the county had 72% of the residents vaccinated. to lift the mask mandates, 80% of the population needs to be

jake is not around now. >> there was a viral video of a drill on football practice after 2 1/2 years. >> it's gut wrenching to know so many people coming after him. >> coach is a nice guy. he's a good family man. he really cares about the kids. >> it's called the machine gun drill, players getting hit over and over again by two other players. the director of sports medicine at usf hospital says the drill brings up medical concerns. >> there's the risk of concussion risks, head injury risks. >> according to an nbc source, this drill happened when the coach was not there, and the assistant coach who ran the drill was fired after. >> seems excessive.

i would like to hear what the coach has to say, i would like to hear his story. >> former nfl coach, jim mora t of line it's horrible. who can ever justify this? this is horrible. an espn college football analyst tweeted, parents do your homework. do not allow your kids to play coaches that do drills like this? the question is why was the coach suspended now and not 2 1/2 years ago. the district is currently conducting a full investigation.

4:36 right now. happening tomorrow, some communities might be in the dark again. we have a map, the areas in yellow you see here are being put on notice. sonoma, napa, contra costa counties. gusty winds and dry conditions are once again the concern. we want to take a look at how the winds will pick up today, if at all. >> we have one weather system moving out and another moving in, and this one does bring in higher humidity and a slight chance of showers. then as we go into tomorrow, as we return to the dry conditions, parts of solano county and the sacramento valley will be under a new red flag warning and this does not include much of the bay area because this wind event won't be as widespread or last as long. we do, once again, see the wind direction coming in from the

the dow lost 100 points while the s&p 500 and nasdaq enter the day slightly lower. investors are looking for more clues today when the minutes are released from the meeting at 2:00 p.m. eastern. the covid-19 pandemic has prompted 35% of americans to change the age when they plan on retiring. that's according to a recent survey where they found that one quarter of respondents. 35% plan to put off retirement for more than ten years. the food and drug administration will allow these vaping products to continue to be sold in the

morning. i almost thought it was thursday. hopeful for the giants and dodgers game to get going. looking outside. orange for the golden gate bridge. we'll be rooting on our giants tomorrow, for sure. force game five. >> giants like the drama. >> yeah, torture. >> no drama or torture when it comes to the forecast today. meteorologist, kari hall, has that. >> it's going to be a break between all the active weather we have seen. parts of the north bay getting around parts of the spotty showers, and this new system coming in, most of us won't see any wet weather but it's nice to see it moving by with high humidity, more clouds and it quickly skirts off towards the

east, and this system brought us high winds and now we have a break before the next system moves in. we go from high humidity and cooler temperatures to another red flag warning. this will not be as widespread as the one we had yesterday, and maybe parts of solano county, and the delta winds picking up, and we are look at another potential of high fire danger. i will stop it here early tomorrow morning and we are starting to see red. that includes the upper elevations for spots like mt. diablo, and mt. st. helena. most of us in the valleys won't feel much in the valleys. as we go into our forecast, our temperatures today head into the upper 60s. nice and fall-like and maybe even a touch cooler in some spots, low 60s in daly city.

in san francisco, also low 60s today. those breezy winds, north bay temperatures reaching 67 degrees in napa and sonoma, and then after the cooldown, take a look at temperatures spiking for the weekend. concord going from the upper 60s to mid-80s for the next several days, and for much of next week, we will see temperatures once again heating up a couple days for the inland valleys. for san francisco, we will have a nice warm-up going from the low 60s today to the low 70s by friday and into saturday. mike, you were looking at a crash in hayward. how is that going? >> we have a few incidents reported. one has cleared a disabled vehicle further north, and then the crash just south of 92, right around tennyson. that's great news. we will clear up the view and widen out our out look here.

the two teams this season. it's simple, the winner moves on. a key test under way for the troubled millennium tower in san francisco. yesterday crews began installing the steel casing which is 100 feet in the ground and this is in the search of many answers. engineers hope that testing will help pinpoint the problem, attracting any new tilting in real time using sensors in the ground and on the roof. many are fearing more testing will cause more leaning. the high-rise is leaning 22 1/2 inches towards fremont street.
