to neighborhoods that are likely to flood during big rain events. the emergency management will be opening its operation center this weekend ready to response to emergencies. >> after the last time we only had 18 inches of water compares to some of the other people who had 2 or 3 feet. >> her home in west portal has flooded before. this was video of 2019 with heavy rain on its way, many will spend some time sandbagging before sunday's expected downpours. hoping to prevent damage they see before. >> i do not leave anything on the garage or the room downstairs. >> work is underway. the work is not complete. wait and see. in other areas of the city crews are not waiting for trouble. they are working to prevent it.

bay." >> alec tweeted in part, there are no words to express my shock and sadness. he's inhutchins' husband and offering him support for her family. oakland police are saying little about it. retired opd captain joiner remains in stable conditions in the hospital. he's recovering from an emergency surgery after he was shot multiple times on thursday. you see surveillance video from the west oakland chevron station shows a trail of men ambushing joiner, he's in the white shirt and black vest there at the bottom of your screen. one of the attackers go to search for joiner's car, east bay faith leader mike mcbride

submitted for the recall election in june for chesa boudin. . nearly one out of every ten people in san francisco signed that petition. >> it says a lot of san francisco and what's going on in our community. people are still calling us and wanting to know if they can sign today so they can be part of the signatures that's being turned in. >> on thursday, boudin acknowledged the recall inevitable when he held his own rally. he has followed through on his campaign promises including reducing the number of juveniles in jail. he vowed to fight the recall. >> this had nothing to do with the facts or the real challenges

seeing a couple of on and off showers, really for the first half of our morning and peninsula and san francisco and the north bay. not a ton of rain early on. as you notice in napa, we'll start to see some rain pushing in right around 7:00. this is when the big storm starts to move in. the heavy areas pockets of rain with the yellow and red highlights, that's where we are seeing downpours. a lot is focusing on in the north bay. the majority of south bay are still under a rain shadow. if you are wondering when the shout-out bay will see rain, notice how we start to see showers pushing into the south bay. some of the heavier pockets of rain for the south bay won't be until late tomorrow. sunday evening, over night and into tomorrow morning, we got

plenty of sierra snow. look at this, 40 or 50 miles per hour winds. the national weather service issued several advisories heading into tomorrow. let's go through some of those. north bay, wind advisory goes into effect. central bay at 5:00 a.m. this could mean power impacts and the potential for flash flood watches is also there. this takes in effect on sunday because of how much rain we'll be getting in such amount of time. we'll be monitoring quick rising water streams and burn scars. there is also a high surf advisory. we are talking about dangerous rip currents. never turn your back to a wave. winter storm for the sierra potential of two or three feet of snow. don't forget your poncho if you are going to the game.
