right now? >> we're seeing it in the north bay and san francisco as we track it on storm ranner. some of the spotty showers coming through the east bay and the bulk of the heavy rain moved through overnight and seems like everything we were forecasting is right on target. we will see wet weather out there but much of the heavier rain moved on. light rain making the roads wet over toward concord and san rafael, and we are seeing the rain continue around san mateo, light showers near palo alto and around milpitas, and may head back to san josé within the next few minutes. the heavy rain is now to the south of the bay area, it's snowing in the sierra, and we are going to see the spotty showers throughout the morning, and then tapers off going into

the afternoon. we will have wet weather, but it will be a lot lighter than what we saw around midnight last night. mike, it could affect the commute. >> yeah, east shore tapping their bridge for caution. look at contra costa county, and definitely moving across the bridge, the antioch bridge as well. and the area where the rain hit overnight, and that's along the peninsula, light traffic on 101 and 280, and definitely going to get more rain. not a closure but standing water on the roadways, and we'll likely get many more reports of that. back to you. >> thank you, mike. at least 3,900 customers are

can you make out the stormranger driving across the bridge now? kari is keeping an eye on the wet storm for us. >> we are starting out with a soggy tuesday, and gradually we will start the see the rain tapering off. let's talk about how much we have already measured, and it's really good that we are seeing what the computer models are putting down, what they showed yesterday is exactly what they measured. mount tam is a little over two inches, and in the santa cruz mountains as well. santa rosa getting an inch and a half, and san francisco, three quarters of an inch and antioch, half an inch of rain. in tiburon, almost an inch of rain. fairfield, three quarters of an inch. so we do still have some additional rain that will come down, and it's going to be a lot lighter compared to what we had last night.

storm ranger still tracking it for us, and we are seeing that rain from san rafael over towards richmond where it tapers off, and some of the scattered showers in fremont and over the hills. we are seeing light rain from milpitas. we are going to see a lot of the rain still bringing in moisture, but the heaviest of it pushing to the south of us and moving away. you can see there's rain to the north. we are not exactly done with this system yet, and it's called an atmospheric river because of the connection to the subtropical moisture transporting this all the way across the pacific can reach sometimes 2,000 miles long. still an active pattern for the pacific, but unfortunately it's not targeting the bay area. there will be one more chance of rain next tuesday, but right now it's falling apart before it gets here. before this rain clears out, we

could head back into dry weather for quite a while. additional rainfall could reach maybe up to 0.1 of an inch of rain, so not much more ahead. some of the reservoirs are still critically low. our south bay reservoirs, less than 20% of capacity. we do have a lot more work to do. looking across the state, we are about 49% of the historical average for all of our reservoirs across the state. as we go into the forecast, once again dry weather returning and temperatures warming up. we will see the water levels dropping. all of the water is soaking in, and we are looking at highs in the low 70s and sunshine. we are going to see more sunshine today.

we're looking over here, the south bay, not a lot of activity and reports. not a lot of drivers here. san francisco, many more drivers on the road and many more calling in the flooding in oakland and heading towards the bay bridge. going across the antioch bridge, kari showed you the radar. a little flooding reported at the ashby on-ramp. hip-hop superstar, travis scott, just came onstage when the chaos began is now offering to pay the funeral costs of the victims. one brother of one victim wants to make sure this never happens again. >> i don't want him to be a

here this morning, amazon will reportedly submit new plans for a new warehouse and shipping area in san francisco at the edge of mission bay. "the chronicle" reports executives presented a plan last night during a community meeting. if that plan gets approved the facility will provide 5,000 new jobs and may be up and running in two years.
