i am laura garcia. >> i am marcus washington. we'll get to the deal between kaiser and the pharmacists in just a bit, but first kari hall has a look at the weather. >> starting out foggy especially for parts in the east bay and at times the visibility is reduced to near zero, so allow extra time to get to work. drizzly out there but clear in other spots. we will have a chance of rain moving back in the forecast by thursday. take a look at our visibility throughout the morning. we have seen it changing. expect that to be the case for you as you are driving, one minutes clear and suddenly you hit a patch of fog. right now the worst of it is in parts of the north bay. as we look at our temperatures for the day, we are in the mid-60s so we will be cooler compared to what we had recently. we'll talk more about that coming up. mike, you have a look in

dublin. >> yeah, you can see the glow but you can see the cars. 20 minutes ago i could not make out these headlights. this orangish yellow, that's where there's denser fog. we are watching tracy come into the altamont pass. word out for walnut creek and the rest of contra costa county, and an advisory for carquinez bridge. so far the speed sensors through all of this are looking really good. >> thank you, mike. 4:32 right now. breaking news this morning, a looming strike by kaiser pharmacists looks to be on the back burner. the kaiser andenen leader tells nbc bay area a tentative deal has been reached. kaiser told patients in the event of a strike hospital pharmacies would remain open for

inpatient care and critical services. prescriptions also could be delivered through mail delivery. at least 33 states are seeing an uptick in covid infections. according to the cdc, the nation administered more than 440 million doses with covid vaccines with 29 million receiving a booster shot. today the deadline for berkeley city workers to submit proof of workly vaccination. 80% of employees are at least vaccinated, but that number could be higher because the city is not putting in the number of those that are not yet vaccinated and saying some things are influx. those without exemptions may lose their jobs. in the south bay, the fair

inches and then it's going to be cool, so maybe they will be making that snow. let's get a live look outside in san josé as we are getting ready to head out. temperatures in the low 50s. even though we are seeing the patchy dense fog in parts of the east bay as well as the north bay, we will see the clouds lifting up and then we will see the sun peeking through today. highs reaching into the mid and upper 60s, and then take a look at morgan hill, 74 degrees and cooler in antioch where that fog lingers longer and the temperatures are in the mid-60s. mike, you have a hazard from chp. >> yeah, hazard and not crash. 101 heading the 280 and 680 interchange, and it's between the two freeways, and it's a concern for the location but looks like everything is being taken care of by chp.

well, it looks like that's your cue to leave. a very good monday morning to you. it's 4:47 right now. looks a little foggy outside, maybe you can blame that on the haziness. we are seeing the fog creep in this morning. we'll see if it affects the morning commute in just a bit. >> but first let's look at the forecast with meteorologist, kari hall, before that. >> the fog lifts up but doesn't completely clear out today, and that's going to be the change we will see from the weather over the weekend. the fog coming in through the delta. it's really affecting concord as well as some of our east bay spots, and into the north bay with santa rosa's visibility down to a quarter of a mile.

yeah, that's the view in walnut creek right now, and our temperatures in the low 50s. 51 degrees. look at the fog we may see that could linger through 11:00. once again, it's not going to be the quick clearing we had over the weekend. we will see more clouds today. once the fog lifts up it stays around, and we will get peeks of sunshine in some spots. temperatures staying cooler, and all of the active weather up around seattle and portland, and then looking at the overall picture, we can see all of the rain that is targeting that area. it will move closer to the bay area. we're still expecting the system to fall apart as it moves in, and maybe spotty showers tomorrow in the north bay, another chance on thursday and then maybe a little better, and after that we are headed towards dry and windy conditions for the weekend, which is not good because it has been so long since we really had a decent rain. what we are expecting throughout the week is going to be very light, maybe 0.1 of an inch for

parts of the north bay and less as you head south of the golden gate bridge. we have a lot of concerns here, once again going through the long range forecast with a chance of rain on thursday, and then dry conditions and slightly warmer temperatures for the weekend. as we get a look at the 7-day forecast, temperatures in the upper 60s over the next few days and even a chance of showers, and notice how chilly it will be this week. highs even cooler for wednesday and thursday at about 63 on thursday with a chance of showers nearby. san francisco will see temperatures in the low 60s as well. may see that off and on light rain in the forecast through friday. mike, you were checking the numbers at the bay bridge? >> quite literally. the new numbers here, really quickly, i thought they numbered the lanes to make it easier for me. no, it's easier for you to know that it's 25 miles per hour to get safely through the area, because you don't have to stop
