i'm laura garcia. >> i'm marcus washington. we go to kari hall tracking a chance for rain. we're waking up to a mostly clear sky and not as much fog. we will see the cloud cover increasing as we go today. tomorrow that chance of showers comes in between late tonight and early in the morning. the weekend is looking sunny and breezy. once again the storm system is going to be approached today. we can already see clouds reaching closer to the bay area. this system is overall not a strong one but will bring in about a tenth of an inch of rain. we will have that partial lunar eclipse moving in tonight. so it may block the view of being able to see that.

they are looking for this man, 5'7", last seen wearing long sleeve orange shirt and black pants. he's believed to be driving a green 2007 chrysler town and country with temporary plates. they are believed to be heading toward southern california. an amber alert has been issued. we'll have a live report in about an hour. today california's website allowing nearly everyone to book their booster shots. this as house leaders are calling for everyone to get boosted before thanksgiving. more on the problem some people are having booking appointments. >> reporter: here at cvs in san francisco people hoping to get a booster shot were turned away to make an appointment. we checked on appointments and most are booked through the end

in the north bay,mostly cloudy skies elsewhere. not all of us are going to see rain and it's going to be moving through fairly quickly. the rest of the forecast once again is pretty dry. this is what the models have consistently shown, about a tenth of an inch or rain or less with a few hundredths of an inch in some spots. of course this storm system comes in at the same time we are getting ready for our lunar eclipse that would be visible if we didn't have to deal with those clouds. it begins at about 11:00 p.m. and then the maximum part of the eclipse happens shortly after 1:00 in the morning.

we'll update you once crews arrive. random attack on the streets of san francisco is under investigation. a man arrested last night after attacking an elderly man in the sunset district at 9th and irving. witnesses say the man is in custody and seemed to be having a mental episode as he tried to leave after the assault, two witnesses tackled him and held him until police officers arrived. the victim was taken to the hospital with a head injury. sfpd says his wound is non-life-threatening. it looks like california may see another revenue wind fall next year which may ultimately benefit taxpayers. a $31 billion budget surplus for the next fiscal year could create a good problem because it exceeds constitutional limits. remedies may involve more spending on infrastructure or
