in santa clara for our nourishing neighbors food drive. we'll check in with you guys in a bit. so much fun this morning. thank you for joining us, i am candice nguyen, kira klapper is off this morning. vianey is joining us for the weather. >> it's going to be a nice weekend. we got a couple of rain in some areas, we'll see some isolated fog this morning. look at the view over walnut creek right now. current temperatures right now, 40s and 50s to start. limited visibility and spots like santa rosa and nevada and down to a quarter of a mile and parts of the tri-valley and into concord. we'll get some sunshine this afternoon, we are seeing gusty conditions up in the mountain areas. 34 plus miles winds, we'll notice a warm up. i will talk about the full

forecast coming up in a few minutes. back to you. chaos in union square, take a look at your screen here. people running around, something covering their face with an arm full of clothing. we have several videos sent to us by shocked eye witnesses. police report of looting and vandalism at several stores at union square, that included a robbery of this louis vuiton. a group smashed through the door and pushed through a security guard. cell phone video shows the after math. officers chasing the suspect surrounding one car at one point. police tell us several people have been arrested and some officers in riot gears looking for suspects. anyone with information asked to call police. that louis vuiton store was not the only place looters targeted.

several stores with broken windows and like this fendi store here is two blocks away with broken windows. a window at a near by walgreens is completely smashed there and glass on the ground. all of this is happening at union square with nighttime shoppers and security guard presence. protests following the not guilty verdict of kyle rittenhouse. rittenhouse shot and killed two people and injured a third person last year and now he's a freeman. the protest here was peaceful but the message was loud and clear. >> no justice, no peace. >> reporter: the kyle rittenhouse's verdict brought over a hundred people to the oakland plaza tonight. >> we are sick and tired of

seeing white supremacist and double standards justice. >> reporter: justice did not happen when rittenhouse was found of not guilty. >> kyle rittenhouse not guilty. the teenager collapsing as he's cleared of all five charges after killing two protesters and wounding a third. >> the way the judge was behaving in the courtroom, the kind of rulings he was making, this -- this was over the top. >> reporter: retired court judge cordell says the burden in this case was on the prosecutor. >> the prosecutor tried to convince the jury that rittenhouse was an active shooter. they failed to do it because his defense was self-defense. >> reporter: if wisconsin the law requires when a self-defense written, the prosecutor has to disprove self-defense beyond a

reasonable doubt and in most states is just the opposite. >> at this moment in time, there are two futures presented itself. >> reporter: justice was not served in wisconsin for protesters. they are uncertain what will happen next. >> it's not for us to figure out, if this department of justice is any different from trump's, if it's, they should figure out how to reign these basically, reign judges like these in. >> cheryl hurd, nbc bay area news. still no word of the suspect that took away this mother. her two young sons were in the car with her. armani's mother arrived to plan her daughter's service.

instead of getting ready for their son's second birthday, an east bay family gathered for his funeral. a memorial service for jasper wu. he was shot on 880 in oakland. at the funeral, jasper's family took parts in chinese traditions involving burning papers so he can enjoy in the after life. >> that's the last chance they can express their love to their loved ones. >> we have done everything we can to try to identify the vehicle involved in the incident. we have tracked every step along the way, we'll continue to do that. >> so far no arrests have been made in this case. san francisco police are also investigating a deadly shooting involving one of their

own, at least one officer opened fire after responding to a report of a person with a knife. it happened yesterday morning at 5th and folsom street. police made contact with a man in a hotel and they felt threaten so the officer fired his gun. the man is identified as armani. sfpd plans to hold a town hall meeting to release more information and possibly video of that exchange. monday marks one year since the deadly stabbing attack at grace baptist church in san jose. two people were killed and another three were hurt. today the church will honor those victims with a healing event, silicon valley, pride trans day remembrance will be hold. the 33-year-old fernando lopez

was arrested. booster for all are now available for anyone in the county. anyone over 18 can get that shot as long as it has been six months since they have been fully vaccinated. walgreens and cvs pharmacies are opened for all adults. the timing is critical of the holidays. happening today, peninsula leaders are looking to go to washington, d.c., he plans to announce his congressional bid today. he served on the san mateo county board of supervisor since 2016. before that he was a council member and a mayor o f daily city. he'll be running for the seat held by congresswoman jackie speire. she announced on tuesday she will not seek reelection, saying it's time for her to spend more

we have not heard back after reaching out. from the bay area to sin city, the a's are doubling down on a move to vegas. the team is close to finding its ideal ballpark. they narrowed their search down to two or three sites. they have already placed an offer in one spot and negotiating with landowners at the other sites. if they make a deal in vegas, the team can announce a final ballpark location in january. >> this is the most insane thing. someone dropped money all over the freeway. >> a new video this morning, money flying across the freeway, this is real money. this is i-5 near san diego. a vehicle opened up and sending cash flying around the freeway. it was not clear how much fell out and how much was picked up.

today. all right, a stunning weekend at walnut creek right now. we are seeing some areas of fog, that was drizzle and light rain measurable up to parts of the north bay. last night you may have been caught in that after dinner. current temperatures in the 40s and 50s. 53 degrees if san jose. we are starting out in the 40s. look at the temperature change. we had the week cold front that passed through. santa rosa about 11 degrees cooler this morning. napa, 5 degrees cooler. nevada is 70 degrees cooler. take a look at some isolated foggy spots, we are seeing some lowest visibility into concord, less than a quarter of a mile, napa down to a quarter of a mile. just remember slow it down up there. it's going to be around at least for the first half of our morning. by the afternoon we expecting

plenty of sunshine and yes, our temperatures are also going to start to warm up. we are beginning a bit of a warming trend. san jose, topping out in the upper 60s. san jose, 67. oakland, 65. concord at 67. live moore at 65. we'll be topping out mid to upper 60s and even around peninsula. if you are heading into the city, expect temperatures heading into the mid-60s. gusting about 30 or 40s. santa rosa at 67 degrees. napa at 69. let's take a look at some of those wind gusts. it's going to get breezy this afternoon again. higher elevations of the strongest o f the gusts. around 3 clock, a little breezy, 17 and 20 plus miles per hour. heading into sunday, it gets windier in the 20/25 mile range in santa rosa and napa and 22 miles per hour. we are going to notice this wind

easier than it used to be. no midnight wait or no long road trips, to find an appointment just ask your pharmacy doctor. or you can use a locater, all you have to do is text 438829, when i did it, i got a respond in three minutes. if you don't want a text, you can call the federal locater service, the number is 800-232-0233. the cdc says it's okay to mix and match booster shots. have your vaccine record card handy because they want to know when you had your original shot. you are not supposed to get a booster until six months after you are fully vaccinated. your booster may be a lower dosage than your original shot.
