she's under. how do you dig deep and go forward. >> i think the fact she does have four more events should give her confidence. the only downwards is her next event is her favorite, slalom. i hope she gets a day of training in. she can regroup and find her confidence in slalom but again, it is two runs. hopefully if she has a little bit of nerves, she has the first run to get into swing of things and second really push it. >> and do you know anything about the conditions of the slalom is it similar to this. >> i believe it is the same. >> practice? how does this work >> they have a practice slope next to the race slope and it is supposed to be the same. but i talked to a bunch of coaches and the training slope is much much grippier than the race slope the race slope is really icy on the upper section, especially, where mikaela went out but it varies. constantly changing conditions which is very difficult for racers. >> you skiers have to courageous i don't know how you did it lindsay. thank you so much.

especially a board like that. >> next up did everyone spot the unique feature in the snow? they lined the course with a block by block replica of the great wall of china. it is more than a display of the host country's history it actually serves a practical purpose for the athletes as it turns out the great snow wall provides a decent protection from the strong winds out on the course and when asked, snowboarder jamie anderson, who by the way failed to medal in the slope style over the weekend called the wall "pretty gnarly." good way to describe it. and next up a peek at olympic fashion.

during the free skate there was a moment we saw you alexa mouth i'm sorry to brandon what was going through your mind at that moment >> well we just put out a phenomenal short program right before the free program. and we were so proud of it and we're proud of our free program too. but they -- i had a couple of hiccups from myself in the program. and i just really wanted brandon to have this magical moment with the free skate like we had in the short. because i knew that he delivered so well in the free program. so it is just the nature of a partnership to kind of say i'm sorry when you make a mistake. because it goes back and forth >> i already felt that magic

game. the suspect, brian se fuentes is claiming self-defense. authorities say surveillance video shows danielusng him first. that's when police say he pushed back and apparently punched luna, whose head then struck the ground. that video has not been released. he is out on bail. we are talking with our southern california sister station about the latest developments there and poetsing more details on our home page, including the new request luna's family members are making. firefighters are trying to determine what sparked a deadly house fire in san jose. it started last night near san jose city college. one person died. firefighters say they were challenged because they had to contend with debris inside the home. on our home page, we have additional details. also on our page, vincent zhou confirming on social media he will not be able to compete in men's figure skating due to a positive covid test.
