4:45 am
4:46 am
>> it's going to be all over the place. i guess this is kind of the battle we have with winter and spring and temperatures going up and down. we're going to fight it out with rain this weekend. i'm really excited to see it because it's been extremely dry. we're going to talk about that in just a bit. let's get you out the door ready for work this morning with a look at 580. your drive through dublin and the tri-valley. we're starting out with temperatures in the low 40s. we'll see a few clouds to start out, a couple of areas with patchy fog. as we go into the rest of today, sunshine and it's going to be so nice. take a look at these temperatures reaching into the upper 60s in dublin, 67 for a high today in novato, san francisco to about 60 degrees and los gatos reaching 70. tomorrow it's going to be much cooler, and it's all thanks to cloud cover, rain. the rain is going to be with us throughout much of the day. on sunday, the first day of spring, we start to see those temperatures coming up a few degrees with some low 60s. so here is our next weather

maker, the next rain we're going to see. it's going to continue to move into the pacific northwest and approach the bay area going into early tomorrow morning. i'm stopping it right where we start to see the rain moving in for much of the bay area, at about 8:30 tomorrow morning. so if you do have some outdoor plans, i know little league is getting going with opening day this weekend, and unfortunately it's going to be a soggy one. so everyone needs to be bundled up. not only will it be raining throughout the day, but it will be cool and windy and winds really pick up in the evening as the rain starts to move off tword the east. as far as how much rain we're going to see, it's possible for about a tenth of an inch for the north bay, but may be higher for the east bay and south bay with a quarter to a half inch of rain. when we talk about how much this rain is needed, remember the start of the rainy season where
4:48 am
sierra snow was at 160% of normal and we had so much rain, the strongest storm since 2017, and we saw the percent of average for our rainfall at up to 160%. now we've experienced a record dry and we are going to continue to unfortunately see the sierra snowpack going down. we're only at 55% of normal, and our rain continues to decline as well. so this system is a big deal here as we can only see about a quarter to half inch of rain. but it's so much needed at this point, and then look at the temperatures afterward. we're going to really warm up, so it's going to be dry and sunny throughout much of next week. vianey, are you seeing any issues for morning commuters? >> no issues. especially for our friday morning commute, things are light as we head toward the weekend. a look right now at our traffic map. notice it's green everywhere. i'm not even seeing a ton of yellow, which is typically what we see right around this hour because construction crews work

4:51 am
he's on security camera video walking around honolulu with him. they're sure he had nothing to do with the murder. >> he's a close friend of mine and i invited him to hawaii and paid for the trip. >> reporter: meanwhile, baron fled hawaii and was arrested on a greyhound bus. he's await k a hearing before getting sent to honolulu to face murder charges. ronald and mohammed say they still cannot believe they spent so much time with a man now accused of a gruesome crime. >> i believe he's a psycho killer. who would stay in that place for weeks with a body there? >> and casually invite people over and hang out with everyone as if nothing happened. >> reporter: "today in the bay." some new video, hard to believe it wasn't staged. the person who posted it on social media says she caught two
