believe was real at first. turning last night into one of the most memorable moments. a lot of winners last night as well. but it all ended up being overshadowed by that right there, what happened right there, when will snigt walked onto the stage. we're going to get a look at the oscars coming up later this morning. >> let's talk about the forecast right now because we're waking up to rain. >> it's been really great to see. it's been a good soaker for us across the bay area as we get a look at storm ranger, and it starred late yesterday evening and still continues, with some spots taking a break. we're seeing that in much of marin county. you head through parts of sonoma county, you're seeing a break, as well as san francisco and down the peninsula. it's picking up in napa as light, steady rain continues. richmond seeing rain, lafayette and much of contra costa county with showers, starting to fill in around dublin, as well as fremont. san jose, over toward milpitas,

we're getting a dose of heavier downpours. rain continues in morgan hill where we're getting over half an inch of rain so far. we are going to see more action going into this afternoon, even a chance of thunderstorms. so we'll talk more about that in the forecast in a few minutes. >> thanks so much, kari. be sure to follow kari on facebook, twitter and oinlts. instagram. a new push to end the war in ukraine. leaders on both sides will meet in person tomorrow to discuss the end of the conflict. ukrainian president volodymyr zelenskyy says he's willing to discuss ice country's neutrality in order to end the war, quote, without delay. in the meantime, russian forces are trying to break through ukrainian defenses outside the capital of kyiv. ukraine says it will not seek to open humanitarian corridors today for refugees due to fears of more attacks. gas deliveries from russia to europe are stable this morning, despite threats of retaliation

from moscow for new western sanctions. in the meantime, president biden himself is walking back on a critical comment he said overseas, suggesting russian president vladimir putin, quote, cannot remain in power. "today in the bay's" brie jackson is live in washington. the white house now in some damage control. >> reporter: that's right, good morning, laura. president biden has stepped up his criticism of vladimir putin in recent days, and now some are warning that the president's latest comments could further escalate tensions with russia, after making this comment about vladimir putin during a fiery speech in poland on saturday. >> for god's sake, this man cannot remain in power. >> reporter: secretary of state blinken is trying to do damage control, reiterating the administration's stance that there are not plans to implement any regime change in russia. republicans warn the president's remarks could add fuel to the fire in the ukrainian conflict.

lasting scars on ukrainians living through it. coming up on "today," the group of holocaust survivors being evacuated from kyiv as violence surrounds their city. it's after "today in the bay" at 7:00 a.m. developing this morning, merchants in san francisco's chinatown say they're fed up. they say they've had enough following the most recent string of thefts and robberies, and this weekend several more store owners say they were targeted. "today in the bay's" thom jensen is live in san francisco this morning with reaction from some of the business owners. thom, what are they saying? >> reporter: well, good morning, marcus, we're saying that they're getting hit so many times that it's really hard to even keep the doors open because they're losing so much money and it's happening so often and they're becoming so brazen, the thieves are, that they're getting scared. the owner of this jewelry shop says she was hit for the third time just this saturday. it's the same m.o. every time, she says, a team comes in, they

disperse throughout her store and just grab whatever they want right in front of her. >> they keep come back, keep come back, keep come back. it make you so scared. and you see the people coming, you already scared, you don't want to do any more business. >> reporter: she says it's disheartening because she works 12-hour days daily and because of the repeated thefts, it's a struggle to survive financially. surveillance video from another store, the jade bazaar, tells the same story. thieves come in and grab items from shelves and display cases and sometimes the store owners, in this case, have had it with this crime and they're fighting back. mayor london breed has promised more funding for police for overtime and more patrols, but these store owners say it's not enough. they say they're paying taxes for police protection, they want a stronger police presence, and when people are arrested they say they want stronger penalties

after conviction. in san francisco, thom jensen, "today in the bay." >> hopefully they can find some relief because this is unacceptable. thank you. happening today, striking workers at the chevron refinery in richmond and chevron management plan to meet for the first time since the strike started last week. the steelworkers are demanding higher wages. a union spokesperson tells us he's hopeful they can reach a deal. right now nbc bay area storm ranger is scanning the skies, tracking this rain as it's moving across the bay area. let's take a live look outside. we need the windshield wipers on the camera lens this morning. cars moving through fremont this morning. kari has a look at how long the storm system will stick around. >> we need a windshield wiper for that camera. it is looking very sloppy. as we take a look at storm ranger, we can see the storm moving into the east bay, and then a look at the wider view of the storm system. still more of this that's going to be working in today.

you can see lightning strikes off the coast and we'll have a chance of storms here across the bay area later today. going hour-by-hour, we can see activity starting to taper off for many spots. notice where we see the reds and oranges, that's where the activity will be quite intense and we'll have a chance of thunderstorms once again, as we see a lot more of this energy moving through and the rain continuing for some spots. a live look outside in walnut creek right now, temperatures in the low 50s and rain will continue off and on as we head for the upper 50s for today. a look outside for the morning commute, we can see that across the bay area we have numerous incidents going on because of the slick and also slippery conditions, so as you're heading out we see the traffic really starting to back up on the bay bridge and it's looking very slow after the metering lights came on. we're seeing wet conditions through the east bay and 880 really seeing three incidents, with people running into each other on 680, as well as the

slowing down as we go through highway 4, heading westbound through pittsburg where the backup is really backing up. we'll get a look at the conditions around the bay area in a few minutes. >> good morning. happy monday to you. shares in apple will likely move lower this morning after reports the company is going to slow down production of the lower cost iphone se, because it doesn't seem like there's the demand that apple expected. apple only launched the new phone a few weeks ago, but has decided to manufacture millions fewer of them than planned. this according to a japanese newspaper. tesla will pause production of its cars in china as it shuts down production again as part of china's huge covid lockdown in shanghai. city government there said on sunday all firms and factories will suspend manufacturing or work remotely during the lockdown. now, tesla seems to do what china says. when local county government here in california told tesla to

shut down production at its fremont plant because of covid some two years ago, elon musk called them fascists, and at one point opened the factory anyway, resulting in hundreds of new cases. over the weekend, musk seemed to hint that he was working on a new kind of twitter. former president trump tried to do the same thing. musk wrote, free speech is essential to a functioning democracy. do you believe twitter rigorously adheres to this principle? later adding, is a new platform needed? now, tesla itself does not have a history of free speech. the company got into trouble with the national labor relations board for trying to quash union organizing, and recently a tesla employee said the company fired him after he published a review of tesla's driving with the car in downtown san jose. tesla didn't say why the employee was fired, but the employee says he didn't show any company secrets. you saw "coda" won best picture at last night's oscars.

the first time a film from a streaming service, apple, won best picture. it's remarkable how few people have seen either movie. "the new york times" pointing out nine of the ten movies nominated made less than $40 million. the only exception was "dune", which was barely $100 million, which would make it the 13th highest grossing movie of 2021. i know we all watched the oscars, or at least clips of it. we aren't watching the movies. it's such a sign of the times and the hollywood declining influence on the national conversation. we're not watching the movies. you haven't see "coda." i know you plan to, but you haven't. >> yeah. >> true. >> and so many people say it's hurting local movie theatres as well, the owners. we're waiting until it streams. >> that's true. >> thanks, scott. turns out hollywood's big night this year, boy, it was quite the oscars. did you see what happened on stage? it overshadowed pretty much

smith's bald look. he brought it up with the movie g.i. jane. in the past she's opened up about her hair loss due to a condition called alopecia. here are some of the newspapers with headlines, it's pretty much all over the place. a lot of people talking about it this morning. as you see right here, fresh hit, look, it's something that a lot of people are talking about. it certainly is a shocker when you think about the oscars, people all dressed up in gowns and tuxedos, and an incident to happen to two a-listers. >> and he wins best actor of the night, too. also trending, world champion, most valuable player and now you can add academy award winner to steph curry's resumé, among the executive producers of "the queen of basketball" which won an oscar for short documentary. the film tells the story of lucia harris, who scored the

first basket in olympic women's basketball history. she was also the first woman drafted by an nba team. curry helped promote the film by wearing shoes with the words "queen lucy" on them. that's a positive thing. >> that's cool. nba championship, oscar. >> i know, right? >> grammys and tonys, who knows. >> a little dancing on the court. you're singing in the rain this morning. >> it's great to see all of the rain coming down. and i know it's happening on your monday, but we know we need this rain and it's going to hang out for a while. it's been with us since last night and it still continues this morning, although some spots are taking a break. as of right now, we're still seeing rain in richmond, as well as oakland, over toward lafayette. we're seeing rain continue for hayward, union city, over toward dublin and pleasanton, down to fremont right now. we've also seen the steady rain for livermore and it picks up as you head down to milpitas and san jose, over the foothills, as well as down to morgan hill,

where gilroy now is taking a break. what we're really seeing is rain pour over morgan hill and parts of the south county. and we're looking at the swirls of clouds, this is the center of the storm that's going to be coming in later today. when you add that, along with the heating of the day, a little bit of sunshine, and upper level dynamics of this, we could see the potential of thunderstorms. so far, we've seen rainfall totals look pretty good, and this is the most rain we've had since the end of december. nearly 2 inches of rain in the santa cruz mountains at scott creek, mount tam over 1 inch of rain, about three-quarters in santa rose. richmond, about 0.3 of an inch and danville, 0.26. san jose, just a few-hundredths of an inch so far. most likely we'll see more in the next couple of hours. we do see activity starting to

break up a little bit heading into late morning. here we are at lunchtime, just seeing pockets of rain. notice where it's red and orange. that could be where we see thunderstorms developing for today. and this activity does continue into the evening commute with some more hit-or-miss rain. we need over 6 inches of rainfall in santa rosa, when we talk about the impact of the drought, we need several years of above-normal rainfall and above-normal sierra snow because right now we're at about 46% of the normal amount of snow. after the system moves out, we're back to dry weather, going into the rest of the week with the storm track heading north. so this is our only chance to squeeze every little raindrop out of this that we can get for today. our temperatures stay near normal, reaching into the mid to upper 60s. it's going to be a really nice and comfortable week, warming up just slightly for the weekend into the low 70s. in san francisco we'll see highs in the mid-60s.

let's get you on the roadways this morning with a live look at the san mateo bridge. it's also been pretty windy at times. you can see the cars just gliding across the san mateo bridge. everything is looking good there. as we head over toward the tri-valley, the slick conditions we can see on 580, but we see these little icons around the bay area because of some minor incidents, and some of them really causing a big backup, like what we're seeing on the bay bridge right now. it is really a slow go for the bay bridge. you might want to take an alternate route. and we've also seen some spinouts, as well as some crashes in parts of the east bay down to the south bay. it's just happening everywhere. we want people to really be careful as you're heading out for work this morning. >> good advice. slippery out there. thanks, kari. next on "today in the bay," nbc bay area responds. >> her consumer complaint isn't really costing her money, but it is causing frustration with the world's biggest shipping company. i'm consumer investigator chris

good morning. here's a situation barb had. she built a new house in 2016. it got a new address that google maps, apple maps, the post office, and u.p.s., post office all knew about. but with fedex, their address was a mystery. she told us about repeated delivery issues, for example, a box ending up at a similar but incorrect address four miles away. when barb checked the website, she said her address wasn't listed. with a purchase last month that the seller planned to ship with fedex, she asked us to intervene. we got fedex involved and it took action, snapping the six-year spell. the box arrived at barb's door and we checked the fedex ground shipping system and barb's address is now listed for future deliveries. we asked fedex for an explanation but didn't hear back. barb wrote us a nice note and

"today in the bay's" bob redell live for us in the south bay. first we want to get a look at the forecast and how long it's going to last with meteorologist kari hall. >> it started yesterday evening for parts of the bay area, continues this morning. we could see some activity into this afternoon. we're not done with the rain just yet. we take a look at storm ranger. breaks in parts of the north bay, but the east bay seeing a

steady downpour. starting to taper off in richmond, raining through much of contra costa county, over toward the tri-valley as well. as you head down to fremont, it's really picking up. light rain for san ramon and livermore. look at all of the yellow over toward sunnyvale and san jose and down to the south county, where morgan hill is still getting hit with moderate to heavy rain at tiles, but tapering off in gilroy. this is what we'll see going into the afternoon, as the storm system continues, and those lightning strikes you're seeing off the coast will be working into the bay area by this afternoon. heading to the south bay, let's check in with "today in the bay's" bob redell, giving us a live look at the rain in milpitas. >> reporter: good morning to you. we're right off 880 and you last saw us an hour ago, it's drizzling. definitely more of a downpour right now. the rain definitely picking up. you're seeing it on the radar in fremont and we're in milpitas,

just right next door to the heavy rain activity. this is video from a couple hours ago, as we were heading southbound on 680, transitioning to 880 to get over here to milpitas, driving through fremont. i show you this to remind you, if you're headed out on the roads, the roads are slick. it's been a while since we've had this kind of rain, so there might be oil buildup that's going to make the roads slicker as the water lifts the oils. you want to watch your speed and distance compared to the driver in front of you. remember, the speed limit is the fastest you're allowed to go as conditions warrant. if it says 65 but it's raining, maybe you should take that into consideration and take your foot off the gas a little bit. we want to use this opportunity to talk about where we are with the drought. these are two maps from the drought monitor. the map on your left is from the beginning of february, the map on your right is the current conditions. you'll notice the state of california is seeing a lot more red, which is an indication

we're getting more into an extreme drought. i wanted to draw your attention to the north bay, where it was a lighter color in february and it's now got the red color there now, which means extreme drought is coming back into the bay area. this was after december, which was wonderful in terms of the rainfall and the snow we had, but then, unfortunately, january and february were the driest on record in about 100 years. no one is suggesting that when we're seeing right now is going to really have any measurable impact on the drought, unfortunately. reporting live here in milpitas, bob redell, "today in the bay" "today in the bay." >> thank you, bob. soggy out there. >> you can watch the radar and keep up to date on what's going on as we have more for you. you can download our free nbc bay area app. you can also get weather alerts sent straight to your smartphone. civilian evacuations are being put on hold in ukraine as the combat intensifies. uk's defense minister says russian forces have made no significant progress in ukraine

over the past 24 hours. that is due to continuing supply issues and aggressive resistance by ukrainian troops. in the meantime, heavy fighting continues around mariupol, as russia's military tries to capture a key port city connecting to the black sea. the kremlin now says the next round of talks between the two sides will take place tomorrow in istanbul. but there's still no chance it will include vladimir putin. police in pinole are investigate ago shooting at a bowling alley that injured two people. it happened late last night at the amf lanes near interstate 80. police say it started with an argument inside the building. officers are not saying that the shots were fired inside or outside. so far, there's no update on the victims' condition. happening today, a hayward mother charged in the death of her young daughter in the central valley is set to appear in court. samantha johnson is expected to be arraigned in merced county. earlier this month authorities

say her daughter, sophia mason, was found head in the home of her mother's boyfriend where the two had been living for some time. johnson is now being held without bail. police are offering a $3,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of johnson's boyfriend, dhante jackson. police are not saying what kind of role he played in mason's death but at one point they did warn he might be somewhere in the bay area. the pandemic moves into the third year and doctors around the world still are researching the long-term effects of covid-19. according to the cdc, one in three people who have tested positive have symptoms of what's called long-term or long covid, and common symptoms of that include tiredness, fatigue, headaches, coughs, shortness of breath, heart palpitations. i spoke with dr. geng, the director of stanford post acute covid-19 clinic and she says it is important for anyone who has had covid to monday for their symptoms. >> you really do need to look

out for any symptoms. it could really run the gamut. it could be as general as fatigue, difficulty concentrating, sleep issues, or more specific to certain organ systems, such as breathing difficulties or musculoskeletal pains and other symptoms as well. but one thing i do want to remind everybody is that the definition of long covid or post-covid conditions, there are many names that kind of encapsulate and capture the spectrum of conditions, is still evolving. we're still trying to understand as a medical and scientific field what exactly is long covid or post-covid conditions, and right now as many as 200 plus symptoms can fall under this umbrella and it likely includes various subtypes of conditions as well.

everybody needs to be on alert and thinking about new symptoms that develop or persist after a covid infection, they need to be brought to the attention of your regular doctor. we can work through it and evaluate comprehensively if that's due to something else or if it's from covid. >> is there something that someone can do as they're battling covid? is there things that you can eat or maybe vitamins you can take to lessen the side effects? is that something that you all have seen, or no? >> i wish that there were something very effective. the only thing that we know that can be effective, but it needs to be done before you get the infection, is vaccination. there's encouraging studies to show right now that -- and the data is still growing, so we still need bigger studies to have better conclusions, but it is encouraging, it suggests vaccination before getting covid can reduce your risk to get long covid or post-covid symptoms. >> at what point should a person

be worried if their effects from covid are still lingering? is it a few months or is it just when you're concerned? >> that's a great question. because the definitions are still evolving, there's some that say, you know, recognition of symptoms or conditions after four weeks. i think the consensus is moving toward three months, because of the fact that we see so much improvement in a lot of folks between four weeks and three months. and so, for example, if you still have symptoms at four weeks, there's still a good chance within three months you're going to recover, so that could be considered sort of what we call subacute or still recovering. but when you're getting into beyond three months and you're still having symptoms, that's when i would definitely be making sure you have a full evaluation by your doctor. >> good information for you there. take a look at this live look outside overlooking san

francisco. blue, blue skies out there. kari has been tracking the storm that kind of came in overnight. waking up to rain on a monday morning. >> yeah, it's really great to see this rain, even though it makes it harder to get out of bed. take a look at storm ranger. the rain clearing up for san francisco, but we're seeing spotty activity in much of the north bay. more widespread rain for the east bay. we're also seeing it getting more heavy for spots like fremont, over toward the tri-valley, we have light rain. where we see yellows, that's where it's really hard to see as you're driving this work this morning. it's been pouring in morgan hill, but it's starting to lighten up as it heads north of the area. we're still going to see this activity as we go into the rest of today. we're looking at spotty activity and the potential of thunderstorms here and there as temperatures warm up. we're still going to have a chance of the rain in the forecast throughout today, as well as pockets of heavy downpours even into this evening. whoa, that's a live look at the bay bridge right now.

it is a mess. you want to grab your umbrella, your jacket, coffee, and get on out the door. it's going to take you a long time to get across the bridge. let's get a look at our traffic cameras. we can see several spots around the bay area, but the biggest problem spot is the bay bridge. it is red going all the way across. you might want to find an alternate route. we've seen backups as you approach mission boulevard, as well as scott creek road. we've seen a couple of accidents there. we've seen these little icons all over the map showing that people are having accidents and spinouts, and it's going to take you a long drive as well heading up from gilroy up to morgan hills this morning on 101 going northbound. we're watching all of this. of course the big focus will be the bay bridge and i'll have an update in a few minutes. >> take it easy out there. thanks. it's 6:40 right now. the clock is ticking on

large out-of-state corporations have set their sights on california. they've written a ballot proposal to allow online sports betting. they tell us it will fund programs for the homeless, but read the fine print. 90% of the profits go to out-of-state corporations, leaving almost nothing for the homeless. no real jobs are created here. but the promise between our state and our sovereign tribes would be broken forever. these out-of-state corporations don't care about california. but we do. stand with us.

good monday morning. we're under a microclimate weather alert right now at 6:44. as we take a look at storm ranger, showing the rain that's coming down in parts of the south bay where we see yellows and reds, right around campbell, as well as milpitas this morning. very soggy morning commute. the north bay is tapering off a bit. as we get a look at our morning commute, it's been backing up on the bay bridge. for the richmond-san rafael bridge, this may be a better alternate because at least it's moving. elsewhere we are seeing numerous incidents and a heads-up if you are thinking of catching b.a.r.t., they're running on about a ten-minute delay. we're watching that, as well as the forecast. an update coming up in just a few minutes. 6:44 right now.

president biden walking back something he said in a major address over the weekend. biden says america is not seeking, quote, regime change in russia. >> we all heard him say it. >> loud and clear. it's going to be remembered for years to come, i suspect. the idea behind that address in poland was to unify nato. they've done an extraordinary job of standing firm against russia. biden wanted to warn them this is going to be a long haul, we've got to stick together. this was the sound bite you were supposed to remember. >> we want to make clear, movement on ukraine, don't even think about moving on one single inch of nato territory. we have sacred obligations. >> very powerful, indeed. but it was nine words at the end of the speech that really mattered. the white house says it was ad-libbed, it was never in the speech. >> we will have a different

future, a brighter future, rooted in democracy and principle, hope and light, decency, dignity, freedom and possibilities. for god's sake, this man cannot remain in power. god bless you all and may god defend our freedom and may god protect our troops. >> the white house quickly saying, for god's sake, that man cannot remain in power, was not a call for regime change, but you can't remain in power sure sounds like regime change. and what are we to make of the claim that the shocker was ad-libbed? every word the president of the united states says matters. ad lib is an incredibly dangerous thing for a president to do. or was it really in the speech all along? either way, the reason it matters is it really escalates the situation. diplomats have been looking for an off ramp, but now putin may feel he has no choice but to fight by any means possible to stay in power. putin is well aware of what has happened to other dictators

after they lost power, most recently gaddafi and saddam hussein, and the former iron curtain leader from hungary and his wife. one bright spot this morning, new peace talks between ukraine and russia should get under way tomorrow in turkey. ukraine's president said he would be willing to agree to one of russia's demands, that ukraine become neutral and not join nato, but only after russian troops leave, he says, and only after a national vote on the issue. hard to imagine ukrainians, who have seen family killed, their homes destroyed, voting neutrality. ava hutchinson was at the admon wealth club in san francisco. he's the chairman of the national golfs association working to bridge red and blue. you be watch it in person or online. i'll put details on my twitter

account. making it in the bay is going to become much harder for struggling renters because the warning from housing advocates, with a statewide eviction moratorium set to end in just three days. thursday is the last day for people to apply for california's rent relief program. the following day landlords can start evicting tenants in cities and counties without eviction moratoriums. now, that's even if the tenants have rent relief applications pending before the state. several lawmakers have introduced a bill to extend eviction protections through the end of june. the bill is set to go before the assembly today. the team one step closer to an amazing repeat, the next step is the final four. yesterday cardinals took on texas in the regional finals. let by lexi hall down the stretch, they beat the longhorns 59-50. the cardinals will play either north carolina state or uconn who face off tonight.

as for the men t final four set. duke taking on north carolina and villanova facing kansas. those games are next saturday. with all the talk surrounding last night's oscar's big confrontation, trending this morning, a story of an a-list actor doing something good. >> tom hanks recently officiating the wedding for a pennsylvania couple. the actor is film an upcoming movie and the film crew put a catering tent in the bride's yard and she wrote hanks asking him to do the honors. he said yes. he's definitely got a wedding thing going on. you may have caught this last week. hanks photobombed the pictures. i don't know if she's crying because she's getting married or he crashed the photos. >> the bridesmaids were thrilled, too. he just seems like such a nice guy. >> he's from the bay area, too, right? >> exactly.

>> that's how we do it here. >> good roots. if he was in the bay area, you're waking up to beauty and rain. >> it's really nice to see this rain because it's been a long time since we've had a soaker like this. not since the end of december have we measured this much rain. so we welcome it, because it's been extremely dry. as we take a look at storm ranger right now where we see the brighter colors, the yellows, reds, oranges, all of that is heavy rain that's moving sbu palo alto. also as you're heading up around the sunnyvale area, it's going to be a soggy commute. we need windshield wipers around milpitas today and also on 101, heading north of san jose. for the north bay we're seeing it taper off, so from santa rosa all the way down to san rafael, it's a nice drive for you this morning heading into san francisco. but then as you're heading across the bay bridge, we're seeing rain picking up. also for the san mateo and dumbarton bridges we're seeing heavier rain. then as you're heading out in

san ramon and livermore, lighter rain compared to the heavy rain that we had over the santa cruz mountains that's now starting to taper off. so looking at this off and on activity for us over the next several hours, this first wave comes through, we'll take a break and then we'll get ready for the center of the storm, more in the upper levels of the atmosphere. we're seeing lightning strikes off the coast and we'll have a chance of thunderstorms later today. the rainfall totals going up. we're over 2 inches of rain in ben lomond and at mount tam, over an inch of rain. castro valley over 1/2 inch and morgan hill. los gatos measuring over 1/2 inch of rain. we've seen about 0.3 for richmond and danville. it's much less for san francisco and a lot less for san jose. going into today, we're still looking at a lot of activity, hit or miss. now, not all of us will be seeing rain throughout today. expect some peeks of sunshine,

but where we do get rain, there could be thunderstorms. here we are at 2:30. we're seeing scattered activity popping up for today. even into this evening there will be a chance of rain before we're done with this weather system. if you're wondering, how much work do we need to do to get back to normal, it's a lot of work. this is a tall order to get nearly 5 inches of rain in san jose. we need a couple more juicy atmospheric rivers or strong storms like this to actually add up and try to get back to our normal amount of rainfall. and the rest of the week it's dry. we see the storm track heading back to the north, so unfortunately this is our only chance to get some wet weather and water those lawns and the gardens before we go back to sunshine. but at least our temperatures are staying low with our highs in the upper 60s and low 70s. nice weekend ahead as the sunshine continues. let's get you out the door for the morning commute. that's really been backing up. take a look at these icons scattered around the bay area. we've seen accidents, spinoffs,
