than what we had yesterday afternoon. concord 89 degrees and napa reaching 84. novato also at about 84 degrees. so with these temperatures warming up, it continues that trend tomorrow. actually, on thursday that's when we reach the peak of the heat. in san francisco we'll top out at about 83 degrees. san mateo 85. and 90 in mountain view. 91 in dublin. so then heading into friday, we get just enough of an ocean breeze to cool off the immediate coastline and san francisco, but that's still well above normal, and in some of our inland areas like san martin and morgan hill, we're still hitting 90 degrees, even on friday, with napa getting a little bit of a breeze coming through the bay and reaching 82 there. if you are going to be going to the beach, there's still a beach hazard statement in effect that continues until 9:00 this evening, so what's happening here is we get these large swells coming up as we are getting the gusty wind. that's building some of those more dangerous waves as the high

pressure continues across the region. as it moves off to the east, we see a shift in the wind, and once again going into friday a little bit of an ocean breeze. going into the weekend, more clouds moving in and there will be the possibility of a few spotty showers on monday, but as of now it looks like it stays just off the coast. there may be another rain chance behind that by the end of next week that could bring in a better dose of some rainfall. also, more sierra snow possible by the end of next week, so we could be about 1 to 3 inches with the system coming in on monday, but then possible a little bit more by the end of next week. we take a very close look at these numbers and what's expected, because now that we're in the month of april we're heading on the downward trend toward our dryer months of the summer, and the chance of us getting significant rain at this point continues to decrease. so looking at santa rosa and our ten-day temperature trend, hitting 90 degrees tomorrow, but

70s for the weekend and only reaching 56 degrees on monday with the system dropping in. then getting a little milder for the middle of next week. we are seeing a lot of changes here and we do need to be prepared for highs in the 90s and highs in the 50s. so we'll be watching all of that for you. mike, you were tracking a close you're going on. >> the speed sensors look great, the crash in san jose did just clear, 101 at 680. north 101 should be clear now. this is not yet clear, we're avoiding the highway 84 section. it should be clear within the next ten minutes. we've not had any delays or problems for crews getting out of the area. over here, smooth flow across the richmond-san rafael bridge and bay bridge without any delays and the drive to the bay bridge still very light traffic flow. you're at speed for all of these
