the reason why, we have this front that's sweeping through and unfortunately no rain with it, but we are going to see a dry weather pattern for the next few days, but then as we look ahead to the beginning of may, we may see that rain coming back, and it could be at least for the first part of next week a good chance of showers moving through. as our temperatures warm up over the next ten days we'll see that for the weekend. look at when we get that rain chance it's going to be slightly cooler no, major changes here as far as temperatures. mostly in the 70s for the inland areas but it will be a very warm weekend, make plans to get outside and maybed enjoy the warm weather. with san francisco not only today but the next several days even going into the weekend. as we turn to our climate in temperatures with the warmer weather we could have a longer growing season and that could
4:49 am
mean more pollen floating through the air. as we look at the graph, we've seen some longer growing seasons across the country, less freezing means that we are seeing those plants staying around longer and with the climate change, warming temperatures, we could see that causing longer pollen seasons. on average it's 20 days longer than in the past but for the growing season on average across the country it's a 16-day increase, with higher carbon dioxide in the air, we could see also an increase in pollen, mainly ragweed and grass pollen and by the year 2100, there may be a 200% increase in pollen for all of us who suffer with allergies. that sounds horrible! but about 60% of the 25 million americans deal with asthma and that could also increase with a higher temperatures, more pollen and that can trigger more asthma
