your commute and the forecast, what we can expect from us temperatures today? >> temperatures will be heating up but we are starting out nice and cool this morning, mostly upper 40s and love fifth days as a step out. in oakland, it's 50 right now, 46 and move and how and 49 in livermore. as we take a live view in walnut creek and compare high temperatures to the forecast, the record for today, santa rosa will most likely set a record, reaching 90 to pick the record is 90. we will sit close and many other spots. he will take a look with high winds kicking up and lower temperatures in the forecast, coming up in a few minutes. >> we don't want to break those records it. a live look at capitol hill this morning, the struggle to get baby formula to parents in the make it up big push today from congress. lawmakers will vote on a plan to relieve the ongoing shortage.

this is no doubt something that parents really need right now for those babies. >> that's right, a lot of parents looking for relief in the house will vote on what is known as the access to formula act. the proposal would give a supplemental nutritional program for women, infants and children, a margin say authority to ease nonsafety restrictions. participants would be able to use vouchers on any formula they choose rather than the brand that could be unavailable amid the shortage. democrats are proposing their own $28 million spending bill and helping the situation. if approved, would increase fda staffing, boost inspections of domestic and international suppliers of formula, prevent fraudulent products from

getting onto shelves and acquire better data on the marketplace. all this comes as several committees open investigations into the lack of formula. nancy pelosi says eventually, there could be criminal charges over the shortage. >> i think when all of this is done, i'm not associated my colleagues with it, i'm just saying it myself, i think there might be a need for indictment. >> she did not specify who might be indicted in the spokesperson did not clarify her remarks. the house is expected to take up the emergency spending measure later this week. and is still unclear where republicans stand on this proposal. meanwhile, first lady joe biden teaming up for a new psa aimed at parents worried about the ongoing shortage. the first lady promising that the administration is quote working around the clock to get those parents what they need.

at least two children in tennessee are being treated at a hospital due to the shortage. the hospital says both have special dietary restrictions. doctors in families were unable to find the formula they required on store shelves, hopefully, some pollution and support are on the way, this, and in a time where parents and caregivers are struggling to get the formula they need. >> let's hope those kids are okay. thanks so much. new this morning, sweden and finland have officially applied to join nato in response to russia's invasion of ukraine. the application will be weighed by the 30 member countries in the entire process could take up to a year but it's more and likely to be fast-track due to the threat from russia. if approved, this would be the largest expansion sense three decades ago. meanwhile, the last few 100 ukrainian troops hunkered down

humidity and high wind gusts that could reach 45 miles per hour. with us coming into the delta, annie sparks could spread rapidly into a wildfire so we have to be really careful. we see rain well to the north of us, not heading into the bay area because it's been pushed back to the north from high pressure, so that hi is not budging and will stay with us going into next week so we are still going to see above normal temperatures. take a look at our seven-day forecast for the inland areas, a lot of sunshine and highs well above normal. we should be in the mid to upper 70s this time of year, for san francisco, we keep cool air with a week ocean breeze. heading on the roads this morning, any issues for the command. >> we are looking at different patterns right now, this is for west 80 coming down through richmond down towards the

all of that. how are we looking? it's a good thing about the microclimates, there will be some places that don't hit up today like san francisco. as you had from sonoma, we will see our temperatures vary greatly from the 40s to start this morning to the low 70s, to the mid-80s already and early afternoon, high temperatures reaching the 90s today and low 80s for fremont, half moon bay reaching 71 degrees. it's all going to depend on where you are and microclimates. we will talk more about this and we may see a fire danger coming up in a few minutes, mike is heading out on the road this morning, how's it looking for the commute now and later? >> we did have issues, first of all, we have a new issue getting off of the bay bridge. may have one lane blocked, disabled vehicles, into the city.

>> it will be-inland areas but nice and comfortable in san francisco. we are starting out with a beautiful sunrise as we take a live look at the golden gate bridge. if you are heading through the delta, still pretty breezy. take a look at the temperature trend for today. we are starting in a comfortable 62 emma still pretty nice at 10:00 but whatever you have to do outside today, try to get it in before noon because we are already at 87 degrees at 1:00. as we move over to the south bay, cupertino headed for 86 degrees. we will see mid-80s for parts of the east bay, up to 90 in martinez and 93 in antioch. reaching into the 70s for san mateo, you can see the range in temperatures here as well as san francisco, where our weather stays nice and comfortable they are. for the valleys, it's going to be heating up this afternoon

into the 90s. as we transition tomorrow into friday, to northerly winds, we can also see slightly cooler temperatures but that also comes with a fire danger. for all of these areas shaded in orange, we could see high wind gusts up to 45 miles per hour, very low humidity in a small spark could spread very rapidly. we have to be careful as our dry weather builds and creating a pressure gradient throughout the region. it doesn't look like it's budging next week, still staying dry at above normal temperatures going at least into the next week. are seven-day and lynn temperatures will reach into the upper 80s and low 90s, morning temperatures in the mid- 50s. for san francisco, it stays comfortable, just enough of an ocean breeze to keep the city cool, mostly in the 60s over the next several days. a pretty similar build you see this time of day but lots
