>> a lot of kids can suffer. a lot of infants can suffer from it. as long as they get some food and formula for babies, that is the most important part. >> reporter: the baby formula supply is becoming more dire and the president is feeling the pressure. he is invoking the defense production act to help boost the supply of baby formula. the law was most probably used to fight the corona pandemic with both biden and trump invoking it. >> it gives the government the ability to require suppliers to direct immediate sources of infant formula manufacturers before any other customers who may already be good. >> the move comes as congress steps in to help. they passed a pair of bills allowing more formula with a federal program eating low income women, infants, and children. the other bill has $28 million in emergency funding for the

last fall in a church in san jose. investigators believe the young girl suffocated during some sort of exorcism ritual. the girls mother was arrested in january. the same church where the alleged exorcism happened is tied to a recent kidnapping of a three-month-old. san jose city leaders say they are frustrated after several accusations of misconduct involving drugs, alcohol, and sexual misconduct. the police chief laid out a plan which will require compromise. >> reporter: at the san jose police chief and the mayor sternly addressing recent incidents with new officers were hoping to restore public trust saying it is time for reform. >> i moved to terminate four officers and any officer we agree should not have the honor of wearing a uniform here. or anywhere else. >> reporter: this comes after a string of embarrassing

up to 40 faisal mauer in san francisco pair we also are still dealing with high temperatures for inland areas. we did see a couple records set yesterday and we are coming down a few degrees today. with the transition we are getting gusty wind. at least for san francisco and san mateo and half moon bay. staying in the 60s and 70s for oakland in hayward, low 80s dublin and 90s in fairfield. san jose reaches upper 70s today. tomorrow we see a wide-ranging will temperatures with fire danger continuing. saturday, still dealing with hockey valley temperatures and a nice cool coast. quiet weather conditions continuing as we go even into next week. still looking at high-pressure giving us hot and dry conditions. then by the end of the week we see rain coming very close to northern california. we will watch that but still that's a week away.
