continue to get stronger as humidity drops into the teens, we take a look at the relative humidity, how dry the air is dropping down in to the teens for the middle of the day, we'll see nice recovery, 80 to 90% range, it will be hotter tomorrow and dry. take a look for the highs, san francisco in the mid-60s, upper 60s in heyward, 77 in livermore, san jose will reach into the mid-70s, we'll talk more about that midweek warm up. as we head today in the bay. we are live with more how local firefighters are preparing, we already had two fires breaking out over the weekend. >> they are staying busy ahead for potential fire danger,

there is that red flag warning in up places in the bay area, the weekend was already difficult for firefighters across the bay area, trying to stay ahead of these two fires, this fire was basically out on saturday, only to reignite on sunday, firefighters say the vegetation is wet and saturated. in freemont, another fire broke out on sunday, this one near a nature preserve. heat and humidity are to blame, firefighters say this is not what they are used to seeing the late may, means firefighters all over the bay area have been and are gearing up for a long and tiring fire season ahead. >> my fear is it is early in the season, this is a precursor to what the fire season will hold for us this year. >> we've already experienced it in the spring months, a 25%

way on deer valley road at $5.73, san mateo, check out the beacon, cost you $5.87 a gallon. today as we honor memorial day, there are several events planned across the bay area. thousands of people honored those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country. one of those events, hundreds of people to honor those killed while boarding the san francisco ship, 1600 american service members were killed during one battle and that included dozens aboard the uss san francisco. >> the uss san francisco and the ships were right in the center, in the middle of them with ships surrounding them on both sides, they open fire in the pitch dark, it was a brawl, there is no better way to

maybe an outdoor work out, we'll see temperatures starting out in the low 60s, it is going to head for the mid-60s by the middle of the afternoon, we are continuing to watch silano county, parts of the sacramento valley where those winds are going to be really start to pick up today at about 20 to 30 miles per hour with extremely low humidity, we'll see those gusty winds elsewhere, humidity will be lowest there, you can cause those fires that do develop to spread very quickly, temperatures reach into the mid-60s for san francisco, low 70s for oakland, mid-70s for dublin, fairfield 80 degrees, tomorrow how much hotter it is going to be reaching 91 there, morgan hill, freemont we'll see a high of 80, 86 in santa rosa, going into wednesday, still hot in the inland valleys, fairly mild for the day and the coast still breezy winds picking up, we're in this weather pattern

where we're seeing high pressure dominate across the region, things are getting ready to change for the weekend, take a look at our sunday, i know it is you recallly june, we don't normally talk about rain, if there is a slight chance, i think it will be much welcome as we'll get a significant cool down as well. take a look at san jose the temperature for the next 10 days, highs there reaching into the low 80s for today, tomorrow, as well as thursday, but then only mid-70s for the weekend, it will heat up again later, we'll take a nice little break after our memorial day temperatures feel very comfortable, we are going to see highs in the inland area reaching in the mid-80s looking ahead to the weekend, spotty rain chances, doesn't look at all like a wash out, there will be the possibility that there could be light showers moving through as well as temperatures in the 60s for san francisco. if you are heading on the

11:00 this morning, we want to talk about the high fire danger threat for parts of the bay area and winds picking up, timing out that red flag warning. we're talking about the fire danger for silano county. never have we had this many red warnings for may, we're watching that for not only silano country, parts of the sacramento valley, the winds will be increasing, we're going to have gusty winds in san francisco, the east bay, winds at about 25 to 35 miles per hour, the humidity is that other factor that plays a role in the red flag warning, how quickly some of those fires could possibly spread that develop today, as we look at our temperatures, it is still comfortable the weather we had over the weekend continues, it will start to heat up in the inland valleys today and tomorrow, back into the 90s in fairfield tomorrow afternoon, much of the rest of the bay

together on your tv screen, you can see the lowest county in the bay area, 8%, santa clara county, that's the rate of infection, contracosta has the highest at 12.1%, the cdc considers these with medium to high rates of transmission, estimated 300,000 people gathered over the past several days, roughly 100,000 people at the music fest in napa, tens of thousands at the carnival parade, ucsf doctor tells us he believes there are probably one and 20 people in the bay area who are infected but aren't showing any symptoms, and there could be a slight pump in covid hospitalizations after these memorial day gatherings. >> getting seriously ill, the oral agent that really can keep people away from the hospital

the particles are fast enough, the showers may be visible from north america. if the particles or slow, we won't see much of anything, if they are visible, catch roughly 1,000 shooting stars per hour overnight. very special. i think i've only seen one or two shooting stars in my life. let's check in with our meteorologist to see how the weather is doing, we do have that fire danger. >> you have to be patient with the meteor showers, we should have clear skies as we take a look what's going on now, the fire danger increasing once again for silano county, these areas in the red flag warning for the fire danger will start out at 11:00 this morning, continue through tomorrow evening, we not only have gusty winds but low humidity, that's the other ingredient you need for red flag warning, which means the vegetation dries out even more, we could see

relative humidity numbers dropping in the teens and 20s in fairfield, parts of silano county, elsewhere, higher humidity, still windy, we'll see nice recovery that means humidity levels coming back to 80% to 90% range, we'll see that for many of our micro climates, hot and dry tomorrow afternoon. as far as temperatures we're in the mid-60s in san francisco, 77, 77 in livermore, san jose will be in the mid-70s, it will be hotter than some of us, we'll be in the upper 80s in concord, the upper 80s for santa rosa, fairfield 91 degrees, even hotter on wednesday, reach in to the mid-80s, san francisco, keep those temperatures in the 60s,

we're watching hurricane agatha ready to make landfall in mexico, we'll see possibly some big impacts from that, but our first hurricane of this pacific season as we are going to monitor that and see what's going on there. here at home, a chance of showers for the weekend, we don't typically see rain, if that happens it would be really nice because its been so dry, take a look at napa with our 10 day temperature trend reaching in the low 90s, dipping to a high of 72, early back next week it will be hot again, inland temperatures are on the roller coaster, back down for the weekend, with more clouds and also cooler temperatures, make some plans to get outside, i wouldn't let that rain chance spoil your outdoor plans, san francisco will see highs in the
