conditioned the theater. >> it will be hot. i think that would be the perfect activity for just trying to make it and beat the heat. we will start to see temperatures heating up today at least we are nice and cool as you are heading off for work this morning, mid-50s and we will see a nice mild start to delay with mid-70s by noon, but eventually we reach up to 83 in oakland and 87 in dublin while santa rosa tops out at 94 degrees. san jose reaches 87 degrees. he warm this afternoon. we'll talk about how hot it gets in the forecast coming up, but so far it seems like it is a fairly smooth commute. >> we just got this update, the bart system sent out a notification, listen up, rider systemwide, there is a major delay because of a computer problem. this could mean that they aren't running trains right now and will get more detail and track that problem for the

entire system right now, major delays. roadways, yes, light traffic. here's the direction for the richmond bridge. we will circlet on the map that will be westover to the peninsula and as far as the north they come with the crew that should be heading out, there's little bit of slowing getting out of town san rafael getting east. it looks like what's going on in the rest of the bay is like, but once again we are tracking a major delay just reported in the entire system. nearly 18 months since the capitol hill right, the first public hearing just hours away. we want to give you a live look in washington dc and a very different scene than what went down january sixth of 2020. the former president's actions will be the focus. this is as lawmakers present findings to the american public for the first time. we are live in washington.

a lot of people have anticipated the day. what can we expect? >> inc. of the first public hearing as somewhat of a scene center, the house committee plans to present new video of the attack as well as some evidence that the public has not yet seen before and witness accounts of what happened. the hearing is the first of at least six. it's expected to provide an overview of the january sixth committee nearly year-long investigation. those testifying include the first law enforcement officer injured by rioters in the british filmmaker that followed the far right extremist group the proud boys as they stormed the capital. all of this in efforts to dig into the actions of the president during the insurrection. they say the committee pledge to present compelling new evidence is a risky proposition. the promise of new details they

felony arson. a church pastor and parishioner we talked with say they are already looking forward. >> we are daily dealing with mental health issues and homeless issues and our philosophy is to walk into it and be a solution to those issues. >> there is a song that we use that goes the church is not a building. the church is a people. so that is what we believe. that is what we will do. >> they will not have to be on it on their own. several other churches reached out to the pastor and offered their building for services to be held over there while the church rebuilds. again, that man will face felony arson charges. >> covid case is reportedly nearing levels not seen since january in san francisco. the seven-day positivity rate is nearing 15%.

major delays systemwide due to a computer failure as we know, the train the entire system is controlled by computer and they can run much of it on automated control as well, but right now they are just sitting major delays and we seek alternate forms of transportation. that means bart doesn't think ably running right now or for the near future, but we are looking out towards gas prices that you have to hit the road in your car perhaps folks count on this and that is what's going on right now as well. we look at cheaper gas prices for example costco in the south bay on center road in san jose 5:89, costco for the win again over in hayward that's where you will find 595 along hathaway avenue. you aren't costco member, you can use the gift cards you consider that for a father's day gift for nonmembers. and grand gas station on springs road. that is 5:92. so some below six dollar options.

will have heat advisories going up for pretty much all of the bay area excluding the interbay and immediate coastline and then for solano county with the excessive heat warning we may see temperatures going over 100 degrees. in fact we could see a few spots reaching close to 100 like santa rosa, that could possibly tie the high temperature record, but elsewhere, we are seeing some high heat, but maybe not new records. so as the heat really ramps up, it doesn't last long. is going to move out and then we will make way for cold front's to move in on sunday and also rain chances. this is going to be very much like last weekend where we wrapped up the weekend with spotty light showers as well as much cooler temperatures and we are back to the dry weather next week as we are in the month of june. we don't typically see a lot of rainfall here, but we are going to see temperatures heating up to 100 degrees tomorrow in a lot of inland spots, some mid- nineties on saturday so still try to find some air but then the

natural ac starts to kick back in on sunday with more clouds and rain to the north and san francisco has major changes had going from 80 on friday the upper 60s on sunday. you could keep that jacket on all throughout the day. we will be checking that, but mike has been tracking the systemwide bart outage. >> the entire system. we got word from the public information office of jim allison sang you should tell the traffic centers to suggest alternate transportation for the time being. they are not planning on having anyone writing barbara now. right there on the screen, major delays systemwide there's a computer problem. even if they can fired up if they want to. no delays that the east bay nor any other transit agencies along the south bay, we looking at caltrain on the peninsula but that is not necessarily a great alternate as we are looking out toward the rest of the roadways, traffic is very light and bart has a problem,

a live look at the bay area bridges this morning right here, they could be more crowded if bart outages linger and if you're holding off on paying your bridge toll bills that arrive by mail, you want to pay those up now, because the bay area full authority plans on cracking down on by later. there's a lot of money to collect. >> that's right. take a look, you can see all of these drivers heading into the city right now, the bridge authority says it plans to collect $50 million in unpaid bridge tolls and more than $130 million in late fees. the group says most of these stem from when drivers cross the bridge during covid with no tollbooth attendance were there to take the money so you were mailed a bill instead. it looks like a lot of people neglected to pay those bills in the bay area bridge authority says about 396,000 drivers had outstanding fees and late fees that totaled $22-$88.

101,000 drivers oh 110,000 -- $110-$410. and 13,000 drivers will face calls from collection agencies since they owe more than that. $1600. advocates for low income families and say they are concerned about how this will affect those who are barely making it or possibly even living out of their car since lack of payment could lead to a hold on your vehicle registration renewal. the bridge authority says it will work with families and possibly offer some payment plans for families in need. so look out for that. and those bills are coming up soon. >> 5:34. more than a year ago

josi lopez died more than a year ago when someone shot him in the head as he walked out of the liquor store. authorities eventually charge the 17-year-old for his murder. the victim's brother said he refused to treat the suspect as an adult. >> pretty much he was going to be sentenced as a minor by removing them, we are hoping to give justice for my brother. >> he says now that he is on his way out, he is hoping changes will be made to give other families the justice that he says that his brother deserves. >> the criminal soft trial for the second in command at their nose maybe e oblem has been act trying to get there. the trial was supposed to resume on tuesday, and it didn't. now it's expected to get started today. this money was on hold since a jerking down with hoven. the added concern is that other jurors were exposed. according to reports the team only plans to call another two witnesses to the stand before wrapping the defense. elizabeth holmes is not

relief in the forecast as well coming up in a few minutes. the u.s. military still not confirming any reports about the number of dead or injured after the crash of a military aircraft in southern california. a source tells the la times four of the five marines on board have died. the crash happened yesterday afternoon more than 100 miles east of san diego. in involved in osprey in the third marine aircraft wing base in camp pendleton. people that live near the base are feeling for the crewmember families. >> unless he lived in the navy, and even when he was out of deployment, you always feel like you are with them. i can imagine with those families are going through right now. >> at this time, the military will only confirm there were five marines on board. there's still no word about how it happened. president biden taking over late night and taking the spotlight. he made an appearance on jimmy kimmel live and the audience gave him a welcome.

so you know what, i'm glad that things are hopefully going to get back on track here soon as we wake up the sunshine, we are also preparing for a very rm day, look at where we will see a few clouds moving by with images and low 60s to start, but reaching into the upper 80s by this afternoon and we will eventually hit 87 degrees, 90 in los gatos, 92 in livermore reaching 94 today in concord as well as santa rosa. tomorrow is when we reach even hotter temperatures the peak of the heat and the valleys are really going to be suffering here with temperatures in fairfield reaching 105 degrees and 100 and sam martin. 99 degrees in napa tomorrow and then on saturday, it is still pretty hot for the inland areas but we will start to see some relief near the immediate coastline and parts of the interbay. it is not included in the heat advisory, all these areas shaded in orange, that is a step below and excessive heat
