she has been monitoring where we are going to see the hot temperatures. highs near 100 degrees. if anywhere, it is where you see the orange shading away from the coastline and interbay. we are going to see temperatures ramping up quickly over the next two hours. for solano county, we have the excessive heat warnings were temperatures will be over 100 for several hours during the afternoon. any outdoor activities, try to get them out early. 7:00, 65 degrees. the jumps up to 70 degrees at 9:00. up to 96 degrees at noon. you do not want to be outside exercising that kind of heat. we want to make sure that we are staying hydrated as we reach your 100 degrees in concord. 104 possible in fairfield today. 99 in morgan hill. dangerous heat but we do have a cool down and we will talk more about that in the forecast in a few minutes. let's head out now. already wearing the short sleeves. it is going to be a hot day.

it is in the upper 60s 8:00. upper 70s at 10:00. the low 90s at 2:00. you will see what is happening here. it will be really hot this afternoon as we will be under heat advisory for all of these areas shaded in orange. that is pretty much all the bay area except for the immediate coastline. with the temperatures making it to the upper 90s and 100s, make sure that you are drinking lots of water. take care of yourself. also watch out for the signs of heat related illness. a lot of kids are out for the summer and still at school and dealing with the recess. hopefully that will be earlier in the day. make sure that you and your family are staying hydrated. as we take a look at the temperatures in antioch. we have mid-70s at 7:00 in the outdoor activities need to get in early unlike the one touching the slide to make sure it is not too hot. make sure that you are not taking the dog out for a walk during the middle of the day with temperatures in the mid- 90s and eventually heading to the upper 90s there.

we will reach 97 degrees in napa while san francisco will be in the upper 70s. tomorrow we will start to see temperatures near the coast coming down a few degrees but really nice while the valleys will be hot. we will all catch a break on sunday. even the possibility of showers to the north. more clouds moving again and highs in the 70s. these temperatures for today will be close to records. i do not think we will see a lot of new records a set. we do typically have spikes in temperatures in the middle of june. the relief comes to something more unusual. more scattered showers. especially for northern california and the chance of rain especially for the sierra. we will get the cooler air coming off of the rain and heat up for the middle of next week. we will have a high of 101 up to 104 in fairfield today. 90 ford for tomorrow for a lot of the inland areas. 83 on sunday with a mix of sun and clouds. we start out with comfortable weather early next week but it will be back to the hotter temperatures for the rest of

next week. san francisco is very uncomfortable today without air conditioning. a bit of a breeze and then we will have much cooler temperatures on sunday. really nice for the festivals going on in the city. next week we are back to the sunshine. it is staying pretty nice. have you seen any new incidents popping up for the commute? it has and it does affect the local commute. the altamont pass. let me show you what is going on here. look, all of the green including where the arrow is, west 580 no longer has slowing at the altamont pass. there's a reason why and it is a significant crash over here. a major crash and a sound like there is a motorcycle going away from the merge 580. it crashed and the victim might be on the other side of the freeway. a helicopter is landing to take this person to get medical care. right now, westman 580 is stopped coming out of tracy.

cars in sonoma. 50,000 people will be in wine country this evening for the annual race at sonoma raceway. we are live from the racetrack, we will have that coming up at 6:45 am. we are tracking the road conditions, let's get to meteorologist cary hall. some places are getting pretty warm. >> it is warming up, it will heat upãtoday. we will also have heat advisories going up within the next couple of hours, continuing through this evening. during that time, you want to make sure that you are drinking extra water. pay attention to signs of heat related illness. some of the bayside temperatures will be in the 70s to 80s, take a look at solano county, highlighted in pink, that will be an excessive morning, a step up from the heat advisory, we will be over 100 degrees for a few hours.

we are seeing light, we are going to see heat. it is everywhere in the bay area. maybe it will be hot this weekend, you want to make sure that you plan around the weather. there is a lot that is going on this weekend, and you do not want to have these heat -related stress illnesses and all of these things, possible when the temperatures get this hot. a livermore, we have the rodeo parade. it's at the 10:00 in the morning , it is still fairly mild in the low 80s, but as the festivities continue throughout the day it will be heating up into the low 90s. one way you can cool off his sunday, there will be a festival and you will have sunny sky for the afternoon. in southlake tahoe, the live view, it is so beautiful. if you are going there this weekend it will be warm reaching into the low 80s and upper 70s, it will be much cooler on sunday and once the

it is also 99 degrees and santa rosa, and san francisco is in the upper 70s today. it is going to start to cool off just a little bit near the coastline, but the beach is going to be so popular tomorrow because it is still going to be hot in the inland areas. it is not a good beach day on sunday, you will see clouds, light showers, it will be very comfortable in the valley, reaching in the mid to upper 70s. when we compare our high temperatures versus the record high for this day, it looks like it is going to be a few degrees below the record and santa rosa. very close in other areas, but we know that it is well above normal, what we do is we get the spikes and temperatures in mid-june. what we see towards the end of the weekend is showers to our north, and a little bit of rain for the sierras. then after that we see the temperatures heading right back up as the rain goes to the north. we are in for a lot of changes
