good morning. thank you for joining us on this saturday, june 11. i am kira klapper. happening today, people across the country are expected to turn out for the march for our lives, a movement against gun violence. this year's march comes just weeks after the mass shootings in uvalde, texas, buffalo, new york and philadelphia. along with so many more sense than. there will be marches across the bay area, including in san francisco, san jose, redwood city, venetia and pacifica. you can find one near you online. there are five reported probable cases of monkeypox here in the bay area. one alameda county and four in san francisco. health leaders are waiting for confirmation on the three latest cases from the cdc. only one of the patients recently traveled with in the u.s. but all of the patients are isolating and doing okay. health leaders continue to urge people to be cautious, but say the risk of contracting the

this saturday, june 11. i am kira klapper. a community gather to mourn the loss of a young man shot and killed while working at a grocery store. manuel "manny" huizar cornejo was shot and killed during his overnight shift sunday at the safeway in san jose. the store closed early yesterday so that his coworkers could attend a memorial for him outside the store. in addition to family and coworkers were his old teachers. earlier this week, the family told us they are planning to organize a peaceful march against gun violence. no word yet on any arrests in the case. palo alto police are turning to the community to help solve a cold case. 21 years ago this woman was celebrating her 21st birthday when she was shot and killed outside a nightclub in palo alto. investigators say dozens of people witnessed the shooting, but no one has ever come forward. there is a $100,000 reward for
