here we go on your friday morning. i want to say good morning to you. >> lord garcia has the morning off and we are starting with the fires that are keeping firefighters busy and also, the concerns that conditions complete it to more danger over the weekend. this is the video yesterday over two of the larger fires. it started in the hills east and it is 10% contained and is believed to be started when i car struck a cheery. >> that fire is about 10% contained and good news here, late last night, residents in that area, they were ordered to leave receiving the green light to go back home. >> they are tracking the conditions that first responders will face today. carrie, we know it has been so hot and things happen dry.

>> it's been dry and in that video you can see the vegetation. it is bright yellow and crispy and ripen all it takes is for a small spark to cause the fires to burn out of control and it just to the east of livermore, we are watching that fire with conditions this morning starting in the low 60s and humidity is in the upper 50s but look at how dry it will be this afternoon. humidity drops down to 19%. the wind increases up to 35 mph and we will see highs in the low 90 and also for around the area, we are also looking at some very observable conditions today as the heat continues. at least the core areas along the coastline will experience:00. we will have on that as well in the weekend forecast coming up. >> thank you. carrie also was tracking weather conditions online. you can follow her on social media. on twitter, she is at cary hall whether. it is 6:02 right now.

that we spoke to this weekend, it's really a much needed boost, both economically and socially and it's been a rough two years for bars, clubs, and entertainment venues for the community, especially without pride weekend. they are really counting on this weekend for the uptake and business and we spoke to the owner of oasis in san francisco who said that this year, there are more events lined up, which is really great for business but at the same time, that on also talks about the heightened concern of the security amid a recent wave of lgbtq sentiments. >> you know, upsetting and a little nerve-racking when you are saying, you know, these people storming the drag queens three hours and libraries. i have many friends who have dealt with it from being chased and attacked. i have a friend who was shot in the leg. >> that is unfortunate.

they are beefing up security at oasis throughout the weekend to addressed those concerns for security but at the same time, that owner tells us that the celebration and that celebratory mood is not going to go away and they will have a float on the pride parade or at the pride parade for the first time on sunday. things aren't going to change but at the same time, things are going to be aware of more things to look out for. >> we know that it's already getting underway. what can people expect today? >> chris, things have been going on all month but today, i think it's really when things will boost up all throughout the city. there are going to be parties at the different clubs and entertainment venues and we saw that there is a disco night themed parties at one of the clubs and there is a closing exchange that's going to take place and we will have more updates from other part of the

go to san francisco and it is 73. pack the jacket, shorts, and everything you need for the weekend if you will be traveling. this very large hot area of large pressure will move away and allow for some core air to come in towards the end of next week and let's get a look at brentwood hitting it near 100 degrees for the next several days. it's been unbearable but we do see relief coming by next weekend and maybe this is not the weekend the plan those outdoor activities. if you will wait until next weekend, it will for nicer and comfortable and we are looking at the very hot temperatures for the inland area with some low 90s into early next week. the fire danger continues as well but it is going to be a great weekend in san francisco as the pride festivities continued to sunday. as you get out on the roads, let's get a look at the bay bridge. the approach is looking good and they haven't had to turn on the meeting and like and around the bay area, it's looking pretty good but i wanted to

in oakland, it is all clear. it is too bright right now but i wanted to tell you about something you may see tomorrow morning before sunrise. a five planet parade. it happens an hour or two before sunrise. you may be able to see five planet and the moon lined up. mercury, venus, moon, mars and saturn. it basically looks like bright stars in the sky. they kind of get illuminated as the sun rises. get out there early because the next one will happen in this order, in august 2040. let's get a look at our high temperatures. the low to mid 90s, 95 in morgan hills. the hotter temperatures towards antioch in livermore, upper 90s there. it will feel better with a high of 85 in oakland. 78 degrees for half-moon day. san francisco reaches the mid- 60s, then you had towards downtown, it is in the 70s. we are up to 84 degrees in a

with a high of 98 degrees in ukiah. it has been hot in our inland valleys and it continues through next week with a large area of high pressure that is going to slowly start to move off towards the east by the end of next week. it is going to allow our temperatures to come back down once we get our ocean breeze back, so let's look at palo alto. it is warm through early next week. then look at next weekend, if you want plans to get outside and you don't want the warmer weather, then schedule it for next weekend. it will be so much more comfortable. we have a hot weekend ahead with the valley temperatures in the 90s, and san francisco is perfect for pride weekend. highs are in the upper 60s and low 70s. a little bit of fog and sunshine. typical san francisco weather. now, let's get you out on the road and show you the overall view of the commute. we can see a lot of green here, just a little bit of slowing on 101 northbound through san jose, and then we also see slowing with the approach of the bay

it is 6:56 am, let's take a look at our top stories on today in the bay, starting with the fires that are keeping firefighters busy and parts of the bay area. >> let show you video, two of those large fires, one started yesterday in the hills east of livermore, in within the past few minutes our firefighters have up dated us. it is now 55% contained with 555 acres burned so far, it started after a car struck a tree. crews there are battling a fire in the pleasanton area. triggering evacuation orders yesterday, that have now been lifted. that fire is now 5% contained. the supreme court will issue nine rulings, including one on roe versus wade as early as today. if it happens, the announcement
