good morning, mike. house looking for the commute? >> good morning. the commute is looking great. let's take you to the maps. contra costa county had a crash that just cleared. it just cleared from the map. no slowing but there was on westbound highway 4. that's an important part of the early commute out of antioch. no slowing and now no crash. just cleared from the chp board. roadwork on niles canyon but the rest of the roadways are moving smoothly. we will talk about highway 84. this is just developing. a horrific discovery in san antonio. at least 36 people found dead in a semi truck as part of a presumed migrant smuggling attempt into the u.s. investigators say they were discovered when a worker nearby heard cries for help. paramedics rushed in. 16 people including several children were taken to the hospital.

good morning, folks. looking toward the tri-valley where it's not a surprise but we do have roadwork keeping highway 84 through niles canyon restricted. is not a good connector between 680 and 238 which is mission boulevard. aside from a build of the altimont, that's also quite frequent so we are looking at no surprises for this portion of the bay. highway 4 did have a crash at leverage. may be something new at concord. i'm looking for chp activity. nothing confirmed but we do have been error showing eastbound 437 a disabled vehicle. keep that in mind.

the rest of the bay moving smoothly. chp does not have any concerns as far as the weather but you have better luck. we have a little fog over san francisco but it's higher up so it's not having an impact on visibility right now and the temperature at 55 degrees so light jacket weather with a breezy wind at 13 miles per hour and we will see those temperatures in the 50s through 9:00 and then heading for the low 60s today. as we go into the inland areas, it's going to be hot reaching 92 and concord and 96 in fairfield. 95, san martin. novato reaching 86. the microclimate is in effect but slight cooling for areas that have been hot the last few days. still in the upper 80s tomorrow but take a look at thursday where we come down to

san francisco staying in the 60s. high pressure that is calls that intense heat will be moving away and that will be a low sliding down the coast which will basically cause the air to lift into the atmosphere and has a counterclockwise wind flow. with that it will push in a stronger ocean breeze, and the ocean right now is cool so it will transport that air into inland valleys. brentwood with hot temperatures will start to feel more comfortable heading into thursday and friday. by sunday and the fourth of july it's going to be about 80 degrees. still nice out there as temperatures cool off we have 70s and the forecast for the week and piqua start each day with clouds and fog and then mornings will dip down with temperatures into the upper 60s and low 70s. pretty much jacket weather all throughout the holiday weekend.

now let's turn to our climate in crisis and we will talk about carbon dioxide. it's actually a heat trapping greenhouse gas and it has increased in industrial areas. dioxide is released through human activities such as deforestation and burning fossil fuels like coal. but it happens naturally from respiration and volcanic eruptions so you get this increase in carbon dioxide that warns our temperatures. one sunlight comes in, it adds an extra layer to the atmosphere and causes those temperatures to warm even more. but there is new technology working to capture that carbon dioxide and companies are trying to reduce their environmental impact. i spoke with the executive at delta cleantech and he said california is leading the pack when it comes to creating clean energy and reducing carbon emissions. >> the transition i see is the
