july 2. fireworks are lighting up the night sky at a pre- fourth of july celebration at the alameda county fair. these are the kinds of fireworks and firefighters are encouraging you to enjoy, professional shows. this is not the right video, unfortunately. if you want to do your own fireworks, make sure they are allowed in your city, and only use the safe and sane kind don't fly in the sky. fireworks have been blamed for igniting fires this year. authorities are bracing for the holiday weekend, hoping people using illegal fireworks don't start a wildfire in the hot, dry, windy conditions. it is a perfect time to check in with our meteorologist, to talk about conditions is holiday weekend. >> like you said, we are always monitoring elevated fire conditions. although it will be cool, it will still be windy. we have a lot of dry brush out there. we have not seen significant rain for white sometime.
