that is keeping san francisco cool and san jose wakes up to a clear sky as you head out the door. temperatures are headed for the upper 80s. it will be hot. the seven-day forecast is coming up. check it out. we're going to see the hot weather inland with livermore reaching 95 degrees and 101 in fairfield. 71 in san francisco. tomorrow it's going to be a little bit cooler. much more of a breeze with fog lingering near the coastline. half moon bay reaches 66 degrees and 80 in martinez with 81 in fremont. the cooling continues but some valleys will be warm like morgan hill reaching the mid 80s and 73 degrees in san mateo. we are watching for coastal flooding. king tides are back. that is between 9:00 to midnight each day through the

week. coastal trails and low-lying roads along the bay and coastline will be in with the flooding and the possibility for the next few days because the sun is at its closest point to the earth as is the moon. that means the gravitational pull with the sun and the moon it makes the water pool inland and it causes the flooding that we see. we are watching out for that. for temperatures, in the low 80s for the next couple of days then back into the 90s once again. the weekend looks pretty hot. with our seven-day forecast, it is going to be warm through the week. we do see a bit of a break wednesday, a comfortable day inland. san francisco is not going to see much of a change. watching out for the king tides and the

>> reporter: this is the time of day when we expect to see them at their lowest. you can see the water levels behind us and you can make out that the water level is a little lower. this could lead to travel. late at night and into the early morning hours we will see higher tides that could cause a minor coastal flooding. let's take a look at video of how the tide impacted harbors earlier this year. this happens three or four times every year. san francisco, the san francisco bay shoreline, you have returned and you can see on this chart the biggest wave should come in late at night or early in the morning and the purple areas are at risk of minor flooding. the king tides are something to consider as you make use of roadways in low-lying areas or if you want to use closer
