were losing sight of the span. we have cones restricting traffic low and that means we see slowing registered on the golden gate bridge. north of there, highway 1 off of 101, we did have that king tide affect a closure. they had to transition that closure until about 4:00. should be open now. we will check on smaller incidents coming up. this morning changes made at a free monkeypox vaccination clinic after hundreds waited in line come out some four hours for a dose of the vaccine. others paid to get inside and did not wait at all. cheryl hurd shows us what really happened at the clinic. >> i got here at 10:30 and it's now 7:00. >> reporter: one hour left before shots were done. things are orderly now but it wasn't

that way earlier. >> the issue with -- getting the vaccine are how long we waited it was the fact you created two lines after there was one line created. >> reporter: this video was shot when management started explaining why two lines were formed to get the free vaccine. >> we had several friends who were in line with 100 people behind us. they got here 2 1/2 hours after we did that were denied in this line. went to the paid online and got the vaccine before we did. >> reporter: some people in line say some people were given the option to pay for a day pass to skip the line. the general manager said that's not entirely true. >> we did send someone out to let them know there were two lines. we are not a clinic. we are a business so we have to have a line for customers who would like to come in. >> reporter: people who waited for over eight hours say that was not fair, especially when doses are trickling in to fight a dangerous virus.

process 60,000 monkeypox tests per month. quested recommends anyone with a rash talk to the doctor. these are targeting people wearing high end rolex watches. in antioch one of three suspects have been detained believed to be involved in two robberies. one in walnut creek and another in danville. deputies say the recovered an illegal ar-style assault by her weapon during the arrest. >> these are crimes of opportunity where someone sees someone with a watch and will follow them or it could be something as simple as someone crossing the street and someone looks and sees a high valued watch and will forcibly take it from them. >> two suspects are juveniles and the third is an 18-year-old man. we hear from a man asking for a pardon from governor newsom he was brought her as a child refugee and served more than 25 years in prison for a felony and now they be departed. ian cull has details . >> reporter: phoeun you admits

he committed a horrible crime when he was a young man at 13 and long beach. he said he joined a gang for protection. at 20 he shot and killed a 17- year-old in retaliation for hurting a family member. for 25 years he was incarcerated and most recently at san quentin. a parole board deemed he was no longer a threat to society and should be released early but advocates for there in january on his release date when they say he was handed over to immigration and customs enforcement. he spoke with us by phone from a detention facility in bakersfield. >> so, that was the end. i knew there was another round of fighting to do. ruback the family fled genocide in cambodia when he was one year old. now 47, you said he's change becoming a journalist for san quentin news . linda crafton

got his degree and became a counselor and mentor but because he is a cambodian citizen and convicted of a violent crime, he can be deported. >> all i'm thinking about is, this is real. i'm not going to get to say goodbye to friends. i'm not going to get the chance to give back to my community. i'm not going to get to say goodbye to my parents in person. he expects to be deported any day now. >> i know my family have relatives there, but their complete strangers to me. i've never spoken to them. i don't know who they are. >> reporter: advocates implement the asian prisoner support committee are pushing for the governor to pardon you to stop his deportation asked him he should not be deported because he already served his time and being deported is basically another life sentence . >> reporter: were reached out to the governor's office for

morning and we have disappointing earnings from jp morgan chase and morgan stanley missing expectations when they reported this morning. the markets fell more than 100 points after consumer prices rose in june at the hottest annual pace since 1981 come up more than 900% and that has sparked concern that the federal reserve will act more aggressively to bring down inflation the fed next meeting is in two weeks. today we are watching for reports on jobless claims and producer prices. and earnings season just got underway with reports from big banks. panasonic has chosen kansas for the site of a $4 billion electric vehicle battery plant. panasonic is a major supplier for tesla. the governor of kansas calls the factory genius because it would create as many as 4000 direct jobs other battery makers have announced plans to launch manufacturing this year. lg is teaming up with general motors and michigan. fiat chrysler's parent and

we do have the supermoon this morning and the clouds are shrouding it at times but maybe you have a clear view. as we take a live look at oakland we see the clouds moving by, and it will be a mild start to the day. we have been watching the air quality. it's been hazardous around parts of eastern contra costa county and for the smoke from the washburn fire moving through. we can see it waiting back-and- forth. a slight shift in the wind direction can push the smoke to the east are further to the north around tahoe. heads up if you're going there today or into the weekend. as far as temperatures this afternoon, we will reach into the mid-60s and half moon bay. the fog continues for much of the morning into early afternoon. while you head away from the fog, temperatures warm into the mid-80s in parts of the north bay pick santa rosa will reach 88. 88 in concord and 92 this afternoon in fairfield.

hotter this afternoon there and tomorrow reaching 93. compare that to the 77 in fremont and upper 70s in mountain view. on saturday if you have outdoor plans it will be warmer in inland valleys. morgan hill reaching 93 degrees with low 90s in santa rosa and is the heat expanding across the west and itwe. this high pressure is not going anywhere and it causes the air to sink. as it thinks it warms and gives us clear skies will keeping chances of storms away from the area. as we look at santa rosa, temperatures spike on saturday as we get less of an ocean breeze and we see it picking up again cooling temperatures offer early next week. portland areas we see highs reaching the upper 80s today and mid-90s on saturday.

it will be slightly lower on sunday but not by much. we feel real cooling by the middle of next week but not as much of a change in san francisco. king tides once again tomorrow morning at 12:31 and we have a crash and alamo. >> since it was first reported around 3:30 timeframe, southbound 680 just before the lavarnia exit in contra costa county. i'm concerned because a tanker is involved. some sort of tanker. waiting for more information from chp. this is blocked to keep people away from that as you travel south on the walnut creek interchange. no problems through the mays or highway 37. too early for early slowing. the crash registered at 880 at the alameda exit but no lanes blocked on 880 and no slowing in silicon valley. 4:49.

nearly 5 years after the wine country firestorm, nbc bay area has reviewed a review of the disaster that blames pg&e's failed fire strategy for putting that region at risk. critics say the findings make a strong case that pg&e executives let corporate bonuses and not safety guide decisions that cannot be firestorm tore through a quarter million acres destroying hundreds of homes and leaving 44 people dead. the new 500-page report lays the blame for nearly all of them at the feet of pg&e. the analysis commissioned by the public utilities commission concludes pg&e failed to flag any of the at risk powerlines that sparked 16 different fires and states pg&e prioritized keeping the power on in more urban areas at the expense of fortifying powerlines and rural areas where wildfires are a higher risk. one result was eugene executives earned bonuses for reducing the number of homes

welcome back. a man attacked by a great white shark in pacific grove is out of the hospital. >> staff members at navidad hospital, steve bruemmer narrowly escaped death three weeks ago. a great white grabbed onto his leg. >> about 150 yards from being done at the beach when my thighs and abdomen, it grabbed me and pulled me up and dove me down in the water. got myself back to the surface and started yelling for help in two people, amy and paul on paddleboard's were coming in. dave veered over to me. one a nurse and one a policeman.
