still dry. as we look at the fire danger index, the good news is that overnight we have a nice recovery when it comes to that humidity. in the area where the fire is burning, we do get dry into the afternoon less than 20% when it comes to that humidity. we keep a close eye on that. and we will look at the forecast with mike. i-80 is still closed and it has been maybe two weeks here. still closed another two minutes from the carquinez bridge and there is the alternate on 29. remember at about 5:00 it should reopen and then close westbound tonight from the bridge and again 29 is the alternate. i will remind you of that throughout the show. we have construction and repair work going on and i will have more on that in a second. i want to

point out for the commuter traffic south of gilroy that highway 29 is impacted with a closure between 101 in that area. back over to you. now to a developing story out of san benito california where the flames are burning in the cal fire with two fires in the river oaks area. one fire forcing evacuation. it is set 10 miles south of gilroy. crews were able to contain it at 50 acres. the second fire is still burning this morning. the evacuations in some road closures and 80 acres have burned so far. other homes are threatened at this hour and no one is hurt. there are new witnesses showing a recounting of what donald trump was doing.

session posted yesterday but we will see a reversal today. on the back of that earnings report we get twitter's earnings report before the opening bell and then verizon and american express as well. snap is dealing with weakening revenue growth. the online platform led to disappointing earnings and it said a challenging economy and increasing competition from tiktok have led marketers to pull back on their spending. the plummet in snap shares is bringing down other social media stocks as well. we are seeing twitter, meta-, pinterest and now for beth in the lower market. and it ditches the algorithm . remember when it used to be like this where you saw the most recent content first.

little bit cooler and i do mean a little bit. around three degrees difference at the bay coast and eight degrees in the interior. look at this is san francisco shot and it looks pretty cool. you can see the city and we will be seeing temperatures pump a little bit. we are starting in the 50s and pretty comfortable overall. no big temperature changes just yet. three degrees cooler through santa rosa but cooler into the afternoon. wind speeds are calm at 3-5 miles per hour and not really a factor. it will get breezy this afternoon and we will talk about the daytime high temperatures and what to expect. 84 in los gatos and morgan hill and gilbert in the upper 80s and low 90s. yesterday we had upper 90s and through the interior and today we stick

through the upper 80s. concord 88 and danville 87 in oakland 69. around the peninsula, look at the daytime highs was 71 in san mateo. san francisco in the upper 60s and up through the north bay, santa rosa at 83. we have a nice weekend with fog around the coastline. overall, clearing skies through the afternoon. this is what we are monitoring into next week. we have monsoonal moisture next wednesday and into friday. that will bring the mugginess and increasing humidity with rain chances for l.a. and potentially lake tahoe. we will monitor that to the southeast. the seven day forecast with 70s in san francisco to upper 80s and low 90s for the weekends. how are the roads? and i-80 in alejo, that
