of more vaccines. >> unfortunately this declaration will not expand supply vaccines, only the federal government could do that . >> with the declaration will do will be to allow emergency personnel to administer monkeypox vaccine. it will also make it easier to expand and set up testing sites. san francisco just got more than 4000 doses of the shot from the state last week. and that is why a line for the vaccine stretch more than two city blocks outside of zuckerberg san francisco general hospital. these shots being given on the day on the day mayor breed public health emergency went into effect. >> the effect it has impacted the lgbtq community disproportionately and things are moving as low as they are, is sadly another reminder of why it is important we continue to come together. >> infectious disease expert dr. chen hong, hopes the san francisco and now the state emergency declaration, will set

told our investigative unit that a different officer was arrested for suspicion of dui on july 8th for he was set to start his shift. he was arrested right on police property. sources that he voluntarily checked into a rehab program after. and in may following other controversies, police chief anthony mata announced a departmentwide reform plan, that included increased random drug and alcohol testing of officers, along with a wellness check in program. >> this new arrest suggests this isn't sinking in with the rank-and-file officers, who have continued to get into trouble with the law. >> in march officer packer.with what the medical examiner's office determined was fentanyl poising. in april another officer was placed on leave after being accused of showing up drunk to a scene of a babies kidnapping and in may, another officer was arrested for dui while off duty. days later, the chief publicly

welcome back. good morning and to greet you this morning i have a very nice drive for most of the bay. we will go to the tri-valley where we have a couple of issues did the only real incidents on here, one on 84 it will clear up by 5:00.

coming through south bound 680, a pass around for now, there are a couple of starbucks for those familiar with it, a smooth drive but there is a crash and potential traffic break up the next few months because of the move a vehicle to the shoulder. that will be an issue heading southbound. no problems for 580 or 680 through that area. we are looking at 580 out of the altamont pass the minimum, same thing for vasco road headed to 580. >> looks good. now let's get a look at all of the humidity in the moisture we have been feeling. seeing clouds stretch into the bay area. just to the south right now but we feel that as you head out the door and temperatures are much warmer as a result. this is tapping into the remnants of what was tropical storm frank. it is still well out in the pacific. you can see the clouds reaching into the bay area.

when you look at the water vapor imagery, the remnants of the tropical system is once again showing a lot of green, meaning enhanced mid-level moisture in the atmosphere. that is why we have rainfall the past couple of days and all the clouds we have seen. there is also the monsoon happening over the desert southwest. as far as temperatures we are reaching into the upper 60s in san francisco come upper 80s in novato, and it will be hotter for inland valley's. looking at fairfield in livermore reaching 92, 91 and 10 martin and morgan hill. tomorrow even hotter in the valley. slightly lower committee when we see the moisture moving north of us. thursday temperatures do get really hot, we see high heat across much of the country as we take a look at highs reaching over 100 from dallas-fort worth come all the way up to sioux city, where it is going to be another hot day. as far as what we will see the next several days look at concord reaching into the low 90s. it will be slightly cooler for

the weekend and into early next week. we will catch a bit of a break but as we look at the seven-day forecast, overall we have more warm and sunny weather, a few clouds in the mix today with high humidity. and for san francisco we see temperatures in the upper 60s throughout the next several days. let's turn to the climate in crisis coverage, with a closer look at our summer of extremes, from extreme heat to rain events, we spoke to chase cain about what is being done from a legislation standpoint. more with rob mayeda . if this legislation passes and makes it to the president's desk and signed, it would be the most significant investment the united states is ever made in climate change. $369 billion is what is on the table here. there are a couple of big chunks of money like $60 billion to support the clean energy manufacturing industry, building solar panels and wind

turbines in america, another $60 billion to help with electric vehicle manufacturing industry. building those electric cars and electric car batteries in the united states which is a win for the planet and a win for the economy. >> with all of this being in the headlines, the extreme heat things in places not seen before like united kingdom and europe, the other headlines we see with a wildfire smoke, more intense wildfire seasons, and more extreme flooding, this is having a real impact on people with anxiety. we know about things like seasonal effectiveness disorder and how cloudy and cooler climates can affect how a person feels. but chase, are we seeing examples of where climate change is having a psychological impact on some folks? >> it is, rob, and we are able to give these things a name, call it eco-grief, climate anxiety and environmental tread, lots of different names for it but there is a researcher at stanford university that i worked with on this story and help explain
