total ban on abortion overnight. the first state in the country to enact a new law since the supreme court overturned roe v. wade. the governor holcomb signed the bill within an hour of the bill g. some republicans say the law that goes into effect next month goes too far. >> it includes almost no exceptions. only in cases of rape and incest before ten weeks to protect the life of the mother or the fetus has a lethal anomaly. >> procedures can only take place in hospital facilities. what that means is all abortion clinics will lose their licenses in indiana. any doctor who performs an illegal abortion will lose their medical license. abortion rights will be a defining issue in the midterms. no better evidence than what happened in kansas with voters in the state voted to protect
