ever made in climate and energy. the bulk of that spending, more than $300 billion goes toward tackling climate change and boosting clean energy. but the bill also allows medicare to directly negotiate with drug companies, which could lower the cost of prescription drugs for seniors, and it would raise the corporate minimum tax to 15% for companies worth over $1 billion there's a $35 co-pay cap on insulin for seniors on medicare. but republicans blocked a provision that would have extended that insulin price cap to private insurers. and private equity companies got an exemption from the new 15% minimum corporate tax. democrats are elated but republicans call this reckless spending >> we've really -- we've changed the world. i am really confident that the inflation reduction act will endure as one of the defining feats of the 21st century. >> yet another, yet another

incredibly angry about this situation. >> we are truly one albuquerque and this is yet another test where we're going to demonstrate that that's the case >> reporter: authorities are asking the public to help find a dark-colored four-door volkswagen jetta sedan seen near one of the crime scenes. president biden tweeted about the killings, saying "these hateful acts have no place in america." we now turn to ohio, where i amass shooting left nine people injured. cincinnati police said eight men and one woman were shot early sunday morning the university of cincinnati medical center said in a statement that the nine victims have been released from the hospital police say one officer fired a shot, though it is unknown whether it hit the shooter officials believe there were two shooters at the scene but so far no arrests have been made. president biden has ended his covid isolation after two consecutive negative tests he suffered a rebound case after
