>> the last time we were talking about a little bit of rain it came with the potential of lightning and so it wasn't really a great day. a mild day. san hoe say at 57 and headed to the mid to upper 70s. now we're talking about that rain potential by the end of the weekend. but we're still enjoying the sunshine today with our high temperatures in the upper 70s in martinez. minor areas. the bay bridge is one of your more -- less than minor issues. more traffic than before. both are slowing. the metering lights typical timing we see a little slowing across the span.

lighter traffic now. the last couple of weeks a lot more traffic from 7:30 to 9:30 in the morning. the south bay even to the 11:00 hour. friday more traffic than we've seen. so far, calm. on the new solution to help more people get access to the monkeypox vaccine can't get it because they live too far away or there's a language barrier. >> bob redell joins us. the federal government launching a program to help reach these people. >> reporter: good morning to you. the cdc has launched a program to reach people who aren't showing up or won't put on by the local health departments.

nationwide 50,000 doses for these people who face barriers to getting the shot whether it's because they don't speak the english language, live too far away. they don't have the tech to make an online appointment or are afraid they will get in trouble. now this pilot program is encouraging local governments to come up with innovative ways to reach those people. the cdc says half the doses have gone to white men while about a third to black and hispanic men, even though black and hispanic men account for well over half the cases of monkeypox. it is broadening criteria. in spite of all of this the cdc

says the number of monkeypox cases is on the decline nationwide as he can see statewide in the state of california over 4,400 cases, over 1,300 of which are here in the bay area. the majority are in san francisco. between noon and 3:00, a vaccine clinic in connection on cesar chavez street. >> it's good to know people who want it can get it. thank you, bob. 6:04. four people who are recovering after they were sent to the hospital when a car came plowing through a trader joe's in castro valley. in all eight people were injured including a 5-year-old and an employee. sky ranger was overhead.

some pictures now taken by alameda county fire department and them say that car traveled well into the middle of the store. a lot of people inside found themselves running to save their lives. >> i hear crashing. i see a car coming into the store. i would have gotten hit. i moved backwards but a man pulled me back, held on to me tightly and out of the way of the car. authorities say that he was not injured. mourners continue to pay their respects to queen elizabeth ii this morning. we are looking live at the cardiff castle in wales.

king charles iii just arrived with his wife, queen consort camilla. the steady stream of mourners has not let up where the queen continues to lie in state. we are learning that her eight grandchildren will stand vigil beside her coffin tomorrow. as requested by the king, prince william and prince harry will both be in military uniform. also this morning there seems to be some issue with crowds at westminster. kelly cobiella is right outside. >> reporter: we are hearing they've had to pause that line. stop asking people to stand in line for the moment because it's gotten too long. it stretches about five miles through london. the wait as long as 14 hours to get into westminster hall to pay respects to the late queen.
