one person is being treated for possible burn injuries. it's still not clear how the fire started. >> when we see fires like this we have to think about the wind conditions out there. meteorologist vianey arana has been tracking the weather here and how are things looking? thankfully the wind speeds are calm. over the next couple of hours the temperatures will warm up and that will definitely be something that we'll monitor over the next couple of hours and leading into the weekend as well. also it's a good thing temperatures are still in the 50s as far as any fire impacts. 58 degrees in walnut creek. notice how quickly we are to warm at about 11:00. in the 80s by 1:00. and weapon see 90s this weekend in through the interior. a closer look at your time stamp for dublin. 56 degrees right now. clear skies, lots of sunshine, about 81 degrees by 12:00. the full forecast coming up in a few minutes. first let's check in with mike. the bay bridge toll plaza,

today? >> reporter: it's a noontime strike at palo alto city hall. teams and supporters say their mental health is being affected by the global climate crisis and they're doing something about it and have been for quite a while now. in a timely news conference yesterday some of the teens joined lawmakers in washington, d.c., to talk about the mental health impact on youth when it comes to climate related disasters. they highlighted house resolution 975 which links a teen's mental health to the climate crisis. the resolution calls for research on climate anxiety in children and teens and calls on school districts to support teens after climate related disasters like fires and floods. so youth organizers declared today a day of protests, a global strike to fight against climate change and to fight for more mental health services. for two teens from sonoma county in d.c. with the congressional

leaders they say those continuous fires impacting their mental health. >> just because the fires, our community has been experiencing in sonoma county has impacted the mental health of our peers and ourselves as well. in our community when someone smells smoke it is terrifying for us to think about where the fire is. >> reporter: and this is a nationwide protest, similar in the bay area will be held today in oakland, berkeley and in mill valley. those protests start at different hours throughout the day including some in the early evening hours at 5:00. this one today here at city hall plaza begins at noon today. we're live in palo alto. i'm damian trujillo, "today in the bay." >> damian, thank you. it is 6:04 right now. there is a new six-figure reward being offered to help solve a brutal san francisco shooting. lindsay mccallum and eddie tate were shot and killed in 2016.

it happened in the mission district where the two were living on the street. this week police upped the reward to $100,000 to help catch their killer. they are recirculating a sketch of the gunman. the new reward is giving new hope to one friend who believes it may make all the difference in solving the crime. >> what's going on? what's prompting this reward, all after sudden? we want to some hurting, so we want to get justice for what was done to her because that was inhumane. >> anyone with potential information should contact san francisco police. here is the latest reminder for drivers everywhere, be careful as you approach the crosswalks. an important reminder after a close call. we're about to show it to you out of san mateo and it's sure to make your heart skip a beat if you haven't seen it. you can see what happened. this is when that suv nearly plows into that young girl on the scooter crossing the crosswalk with the family captured on dash cam video at

the intersection of franklin and bays road. that family starts across, the suv hits the girl's scooter narrowly missing that little girl. thankfully she is okay. now police say a 17-year-old was behind the wheel of that suv and is cooperating with the investigation. new overnight some shaking in the north bay. 3.3 earthquake centered near cobb in lake county happened before midnight. people in healdsburg and windsor reported feeling it. last week a 4.4 quake rattled nearby santa rosa. and hurricane fiona right now still pounding bermuda with the heavy winds and rain. you can see it up in this area here. so this is all happening at this hour, fiona once again a category 3 storl, slowly making its way to nova scotia. the video we want to show you is from bermuda. as you can see here the winds and waves along the coast there, people spending yesterday getting ready boarding up windows, sandbagging just to

we have puerto rico, you can see we still have some churning. now the location of this will continue to trek northward. as you heard it remains a category 3. you saw the images of the waves. that storm surge has the potential of rising about 3 to 8 feet above a typical high tide which is what brings all of that flooding around the coastline. as far as the trajectory right now it's continuing to trek north which will pass by the atlantic canada, winds of 115 miles per hour. also threatening with the storm surge before breaking apart becoming a tropical depression. we'll monitor that but also looking at tropical depression 9 currently forming right now out in the atlantic and you can see its trajectory as of monday morning heading in the direction of florida and miami at about 75 miles per hour so, again this is barely starting to form now but the trajectory could be heading to florida. that is coming up in a few

minutes. first let's check in with gas prices and mike. it's friday. a lot of times we'll see the prices fluctuate. i found better prices than yesterday. starting with this gem in the south bay diamond gas and market in santa clara on washburn avenue, $4.79. in san leandro, $4.97 at bay fair mart on east 14th street. and then back up in vallejo down to $4.79 at the shell on tennessee street. some good options reported by folks out there on gas buddy. good stuff. out there on the roadways looking at good stuff as well. green sensors throughout the bay out of the altamont pass more slowing. the same thing for vasco. the arrow coming down to 580. the main commute out of brentwood is at 20, 21 minutes. only slowing for the last leg getting to the freeway. over here slowing as well in addition to highway 4, the bay bridge shows the build with the
