pretty calm weatherwise. we'll take you out to dublin where you have some low clouds above but nothing in the way of travel there on 580. as we show you the temperatures this morning this part does feel like fall. patchy low clouds. numbers in the 80s inland and around dublin. 60s in san francisco. we will be seeing more of this trending cooler. mike? we'll take a look at the san mateo bridge. you see the lights, that's the high rises. it's 5:01 on a friday.

a lighter commute early on. here is the altamont pass. the only real slowing, out of antioch, keep your fingers crossed. back to you. thank you very much. we have breaking news just coming in to our newsroom. president trump now responding to the january 6th committee hearing after the panel voted unanimously to subpoena the former president. he posted videos and links on a social platform truth social. this is just one of several of those posts. now this comes after the january 6 committee held what's likely its last public hearing before the november miterm election. >> brie, committee members are pressing to hear from the former president himself. >> reporter: while the january 6 committee has continued to argue that former president trump is a key figure related to the

january 6th attack and members say that he must be held accountable and is required to answer for his actions. >> the resolution is agreed to. >> reporter: in a historic move voting to subpoena former president trump. >> and so if we get his attention, fine. if not we'll go with the evidence we collected. >> reporter: mr. trump asked why didn't the unselect committee asked me to testify months ago blasting them as political hacks and thugs and promising a response later this morning. >> he was personally and substantially involved in all of it. >> reporter: arguing he orchestrated a plan by spreading false claims about election fraud and was backed by his inner circle . >> the key thing to do is claim victory.

the end of this year. committee members say they will make recommendations and are considering criminal referrals to the justice department. >> one people are continuing to watch. thanks, brie. it is 5:04. in the hunt for a possible serial killer in stockton. law enforcement believes this person could be connected to two murders in the midwest. >> reporter: stockton police are investigating whether the man who killed several people in stockton and one in oakland is the same person who killed two people in chicago. a man they believe is connected to two execution style shootings back in 2018. it was determined the same gun was used in both shootings.

he has a similar walk or limp to the person of interest. we put video of the man from chicago on the right side of your screen. the man believed to be the stockton serial killer to give you a side-by-side comparison. the first murder was actually in oakland back in april of 2021. the most recent was of this year, a man shot and killed in stockton. a woman was also shot in stockton but thankfully survived. the stockton police department set up a tip line you can see it on your tv screen or email police tips at stocktonca.gov. an east bay community is coming together to honor the memory of a young leader gunned

down near the uc berkeley campus. a candlelight vigil to honor 29-year-old isamaeli mataafa. his sister said he was the fifth of seven brothers and sisters. he was a student at the pacific school of religion. his goal, she says, was to obtain his doctor at degree and serve his community especially the youth. >> even though i'm older than him, he is so mature, so humble, so strong not just in our community but my family. >> three others were injured saturday night. investigators with berkeley police say they are still following leads. no arrests have been made. as russia continues to make nuclear threats after its invasion of ukraine, protesters will gather in san francisco today to call on federal government to take action. a rally will be held outside of the offices of senator dianne

feinstein and alex padilla. protesters are demanding the two to take a stand and work to rejoin nuclear weapons treaties. they are pushing to get weapons off the hair trigger alert system. now that's a system that would allow president biden to launch a nuke within minutes of a threat. similar protests will be held at senator offices nationwide. we did reach out to both senators. padilla did not respond but in a statement senator feinstein's office says she looks forward to hearing from protesters and her office is working to arrange a meeting. >> we will see the warriors and draymond green back in action. yesterday green was able to practice with the team. plenty of people criticized the warriors for not only finding their temperamental star, for only finding him. they refused to say how much the fine was and coach steve kerr

we feel a bit like fall outside this morning and there's the view of san francisco, misty skies. staying around san francisco into the afternoon with temperatures in the mild trend once again, no 70s today around the coast or half moon bay. by sunday inland temperatures may cool a few more degrees. now we haven't had changes in the weather this weekend and the beginning of next week but signs out there we could see a change. as we head to next weekend, stay tuned.

showers around the north bay. san francisco forecast staying in the 60s should be trending a little warmer by tuesday and valley temperatures staying cool for this time of year back into the low 80s. some flashing lights on the san mateo brimming. i believe it's a crew not in lanes. no disturbance to the flow and no disturbances. a nice, easy drive right now. no real slowing, not even out of the south county or much out of the altamont pass. just a bit of speeds below the limit until you get to green ville and here are your travel times. no delays down to 580. even though it's a yellow sensor.
