thursday morning, here we are and here is san francisco getting started with the day. pretty clear for the most part this morning. but how is the rest of the bay area shaping up for you? meteorologist, kari hall, is looking at that. >> it is fall and it has been nice, sunny and cool and kind of what we think about when we imagine fall. we have not yet had any high wind events with the diablo winds, so we are settling into the nice and steady weather

pattern for now. let's look outside in san rafael. it's a clear morning and it's also chilly. we are in the upper 30s right now, and a light wind and clear sky, and for a lot of the valleys the temperatures dip more quickly when we see the clear skies. as we go in late morning into the afternoon, we are go into the upper 30s to the 60s and significant difference from the way we start our day to the afternoon. and we are slightly warmer compared to yesterday, but not by a lot. some of the temperatures cooler than normal, and martinez is headed for 63 degrees, and low 60s near the coastline. upper 60s and low 70s for the peninsula. northbound, san francisco going from mid-60s to upper 70s, reaching upper 70s in ukiah. tonight you may see an interesting sight in the sky, and from the air force base they
