for monica de la cruz, the first hispanic woman to represent the 15th district of texas >> and now to a ground breaker for the democrats as becca balint is to be the first woman and lgbtq person to represent the state. and alexandria ocasio-cortez holding her seat in congress nbc news is projecting her reelection to the 14th district opposite tina forte. and also keeping her job, marjorie taylor greene is poised for re-election in georgia's 14th district over the democratic challenger, marcus flowers. >> in florida, republicans flipping an open seat in the seventh district as cory mills is expected to win over karen green. and a flip for the democrats in illinois, with nikki budsinski winning that 13th district >> joining us is jonathan allen

very strong. election deniers not doing well on the ballot. >> and he's already having attacks against desantis former president trump with that date, expected to announce another run for the white house. that announcement will no doubt include his continued claims of the stolen 2020 election do you think that it will undercut those claims of a rigged system? >> i think people have fully baked in this notion of election fraud into their thinking politically. so whether it's the 30% of the population and 70%, maybe of the republican party that now believes in these claims of election fraud, i don't think there's anything that's going to change that. in some ways, the losses today by the republican party or the unfulfilled expectation may fuel some more of those conspiracy theories we'll see what happens for

example in arizona and elsewhere. but i think that what will be interesting is to see whether other republican leaders try to dissuade their, you know, fellow travelers from going in this direction, because so many people who had adopted the big lie didn't end up winning this time >> yeah, and seeing how far president trump or former president trump will be pushing it in the week to come >> jonathan, let's say for a moment that the republicans do take over the house again. what will their legislative agenda look like in 2023 >> that's a great question there will be a mix. they will put bills out there to implement what was not done in the past, even though they won't go anywhere. it's not so much the legislative agenda, it's going to be the investigative agenda, whether you're talking about investigations into hunter biden or impeachment investigation into joe biden we're going to have to see, with
