"today in the bay's" ginger conejero saab live in san francisco. ginger, just when we thought the uncertainty surrounding twitter couldn't get any greater, it sure does >> reporter: and you know that well as you've been following it. a couple memes and a tweet that says we just hit another all-time high in twitter usage, lol. twitter employees aren't finding much of this to be funny at all amidst another wave of resignations last night. this after an ultimatum from elon musk. some of those employees have taken to the platform itself to tweet out what they're calling their last tweet making good by twitter and #riptwitter trending

topics. this morning #riptwitter is still trending number one. the site could shut down. the frustration is not just online. last night commentary could be seen on the side of the building. this is rolling projected art calling twitter's three-week owner names on the side of twitter headquarters including words like bankruptcy baby among others. now sources tell cnbc twitter's headquarters and all of its offices will be closed until monday and engineers and other employees posted good bye messages to group chats. all of this playing out after the latest ultimatum given by musk saying employees should expect long hours at high intensity if they wanted to stay. now it's unclear how many resigned yesterday but that number would be on top of previous layoffs of around 3,700 workers. tech expert ahmed bonofa says
