walker. nbc's monica alba is following it all from the white house where they're watching very closely. monica, good morning to you. >> reporter: kristen, good morning, this is the only senate race uncalled but in a runoff it's too comes out to win again. only a month from victory. republicans want to turn a more purple georgia red again. this morning, georgia voters waking up to the final weekend of campaigning. for the last open senate seat. a cnn poll showing incumbent democratic senator raphael warnock with 52% among unlikely voters, versus herschel walker 38%. a narrow lead. democrats control the senate with the vice president's tie-breaking vote but another seat would expand that majority and be a boost for some of president biden's priorities. though he stayed away from the

peach state in the last push. over concerns his last approval rating could be a drag on warnock. instead leaving concern for a trip to boston. >> he has to win the election. that will give us 51 votes. >> reporter: while democrats chose to close with a former president. >> mr. walker has been talking about issues that are of great importance to the people of georgia. like whether it's better to be a vampire or werewolf. >> reporter: it comes as the daily beast published domestic abuse allegations from one of walker's former girlfriends who went on the record to say she endured cheating, lying and violence during the five-year relationship with the former football star. walker's campaign has yet to respond. but georgia's republican governor just re-elected and support of walker -- told vaughn hillyard. >> i will take the accusations seriously, but voters have to

ask themselves why is this coming out five day before an election. >> and monica, the rules committee of the democratic party at the urging of president biden has been asked to make south carolina the first primary state. do you think this is a big deal? >> yeah, this plan putting south carolina first would be a huge change for the presidential system where iowa and new hampshire have gone first for decades but there have long been calls for switch up the order to affect more diverse electorate. and that chorus only got louder after iowa's delayed caucus returns in 2020. we remember that. under this new proposal, south carolina, new hampshire and nevada follows on the same day, then georgia, then michigan, leaving iowa out entirely. the gop has to approve it early next year, before becoming a

reality, republicans, however, won't be going down this road. they're going to keep the iowa and then new hampshire schedule. kristen and peter. >> of course, iowa helped put president biden in the white house. monica alba, thank you. president biden is touting economic news with more new hires but as expected it might not be an indicator about the fight against inflation. >> reporter: it's further evidence that good news for main street, more jobs isn't always good news for wall street or the federal reserve. the government reports 263,000 jobs were added in november, far more than expected. unemployment still near 50-year lows but with more jobs than workers to fill them, wages jumped 5.1% year over year. and that's the catch. while higher wages help families partially offset inflation, bigger wages make inflation

worse. the federal reserve has raised interest rates six times this year to tamp down inflation. and now likely to raise rates into the new year potentially sending mortgages, loans and credit card costs even higher. the fed chairman making it clear the tight labor market is a problem. >> because wages make up the largest cost in delivery services the labor market holds the key to understanding inflation. >> reporter: meanwhile, the country appears to have dodged an economic bullet or freight train after president biden signed a law imposing a new contract on railroads and their workers to avert a crippling rail strike. the president taking a victory lap. >> now, created 10.5 million jobs since i took office. more than any other administration in history at this point in presidency. >> reporter: now, the fed will get the latest inflation data the day before it decides whether to raise rates even more by another half point, we expect. it's searching for that

good morning, thanks for joining us on this saturday, december 3rd. i'm kira klapper. four people are injured and one is in critical condition at last check after a bus crashed into rows of cars and trucks in a parking lot at a bay area shopping center. witnesses say this bus was traveling at a high speed, jumped a curb, crashed right through a row of bushes and then plowed into all of those vehicles. 16 in total. it happened yesterday at the ceremony center in daly city just before noon. the owners of all those cars were stunned when they came out to the parking lot after shopping and saw the damage.

filed a lawsuit to police who responded to that massacre. they're seeking $27 billion in damages claiming officials failed to employ active shooter protocols by waiting more than an hour to confront the gunman. the lawsuit was file eye by students and staff who were there, in may when 19 children and two teachers were killed. police have identified a man they say is responsible for the shooting death of rapper takeoff. patrick clark was arrested on tuesday in houston allegedly leaving the country to go to houston. takeoff was shot following deputy over a dice game. houston police revealing the 28-year-old was an innocent bystander in the shooting. another man was also arrested in connection to the shooting earlier this week. the playoff picture for college football is this disarray this morning after a huge upset last night. >> on the line here, boy, in

wasn't an impulsive knife and recovered from the kitchen at the scene. and one of the interesting things that i've read just in the last 24 hours most indices is that the perpetrator entered through the back door, through the sliding glass doors. we know that the police said there was no forced entry, no pry marks. in this case, they thought perhaps the perpetrator came through the front door and left ajar. then we found out people arrived at the scene before the 911 phone call was made. the back door theory that somebody came down through the woods, through the precipice, does fit with what we know about predatory crimes and open to the possibility that it is a stranger homicide. >> well, you take me to my next question, because there have been high profile investigators saying it was targeted and now saying it wasn't targeted. how have those mistakes hampered the investigation? >> you're right.

they've been saying it's a miscommunication. it's kafd a lot in regards to public trust. we heard the words it was a crime of passion, it was targeted. now they've backpedalled and said maybe it wasn't targeted but a targeted location. and they've been very tight-lipped, meaning was that person a stalker, lived in the house before? and that has caused rumor mill swirling which could only impede the investigation. let's agree there's a balance of what the police need to hold back but idol believe they could give us more information that would not impede the investigation but earn the trust of the public and get more tips coming in because i do think it's tips going to solve this. >> casey minutes matter in a case like this. what do you think the key focus should be for the investigators? >> you know, last count, there's more than 100 police, state,
