on the male mannequin, they call him moonequin, he had sensors to detect radiation exposure and the g forces that he would experience in a real flight, and then also in addition to all of that just the heat inside and the stress that a person might experience on a 25-day mission again, this spacecraft has never before carried humans. it's a test flight to make sure they know exactly how humans might experience this flight when they go to the moon. >> you mentioned that crewed flight how soon do we expect that will take >> we will have a crewed mission orbiting the moon we think in '24. two years. they'd love to speed up that timetable. right now end of '24 and then we expect that they will land on the moon with humans, they say 2025. i think it's going to go to '26 at the earliest, to be honest. this is what is exciting the astronauts that are eligible, there are 42 of them, they are going to find out probably as soon as next month who will be named to these lunar

>> exactly. and there's a lot going on. the storm system out west will move eastward and bring everyone snow or rain, possibly some severe storms, too. you see the colors out west. that's where we have the winter storm watches, warnings. blizzard warnings, wind gusts up to 65 to 70 miles per hour. mainly up across montana into the dakotas, too, as this moves to the east. as it does so, the coldest part of this storm on the northern side will see several inches of snow and gusty winds. on the southern side of the storm gusty winds and severe weather, possibly even some large hail, damaging winds, tornados a possibility out ahead of this cold front, too. but it's up across the dakotas into minnesota where we will see most of our snowfall out of this system just because it's colder. but where we have the colder air we could end up with one to two feet of snow possible, especially as you go up into eastern montana into the dakotas, too. and again, the visibility will be reduced with those very gusty winds. so it will be very dangerous for traveling. >> thank you so much. let's move to a developing story.

growing concern for an american college student who has been missing overseas. 21-year-old ken deland. he was studying in france but he's not been heard from in more than two weeks. molly, good morning. >> good morning to you. that's right. urgent questions about the whereabouts about 21-year-old ken deland. his family last heard from him two weeks ago. he was planning to return home to the states for the holidays on december 15th. this is the last known image of ken deland. a surveillance camera from a sports store in the south of france seen in this photo wearing a red jacket and carrying a backpack. ken is a senior at st. john university in new york and was planning to return home for christmas. his family last heard from him on november 27th and according to his family his phone last pinged on november 30th. the surveillance photo taken december 3rd and after that ken
