tomorrow night. before that arrives, we have patchy fog. 54 in san jose. looks pretty nice. christmas in the park. but there is some of that fog around the tri valley, 46 degrees, and at times we'll see visibility around a quarter of a mile. also san rafael, patchy fog there and a patch or two of low clouds in and around san francisco. monday morning, fog really is the top story. we'll see for the east bay and north bay valleys, visibility at times less than a quarter of a mile. as we move forward hour by hour, starting out the day in the mid 40s. by lunch time, climbing into the mid-50s. then as early as tomorrow afternoon we'll see light rain along the santa cruz mountains, but rain showers returning to the north bay into the afternoon and really picking up as we head into tomorrow night and tuesday. we got high clouds right now

with that storm system. and that is that atmospheric river component. that orange you see over the bay area would correspond to strong atmospheric river moisture. it gives more moisture for the storm to work with, which really does power up the big rain. as evidenced by a rain into the 4-6 inch range. this is going to be 11:00 tomorrow night. on into tuesday morning you can see how the rain makes a real mess of the morning commute. we're likely to see flood advisories. and more coming up as we get into wednesday and thursday. not quite as strong, but still
