4:46 am
closure going on and it's scheduled to clear by 5:00. you can see 84 taking that as a reroute. we're looking at the lane shift causing more slowing as traffic is hitting the roadways. keep that in mind. it's narrow between 84 and getting in towards livermore. over here we have restrictions, traffic control for 92 between highway 35 and that's an issue because of the sinkhole. kari, it's a smooth ride for the rest of the bay. i would imagine this camera would be shaking, because i was shivering. >> shaking from the cold. this is a cold front that came through last night that brought us additional rainfall, and it will be chilly today and the next several days as we are seeing the rain pushing further to the south. then we will have flooding for a different reason. king tides will be back for the next several days. the sun, earth, moon aligned in

4:49 am
warmer than the late 19th century average. 2 degrees may sound small to us, but it's throwing the world off balance. >> when the atmosphere is warmer it can hold more moisture, and that means when it rains you can get more massive amounts of rainfall, so flooding is much more likely to happen in a warming climate just simply because the atmosphere holds more moisture than the climate than when it's a regular normal climate. >> don't we know that. we are already seeing what our future could look like with juicier atmospheric rivers. there's hope to keep the earth from warming further, and you can see how you can help with that on nbcbayarea.com.
