los angeles, with a population of about 60,000 people a majority, 65% are, asian american according to census data it's one of the largest asian american pacific islander communities in the entire nation ryan facio, who was supposed to be working today's festival says they will bounce back. >> we will go on because of the shooter, we need to go on to show that we're stronger than anything else. >> reporter: they will try to get through this together. this is a strong, tight knit community, but obviously just an unbearable tragedy, and coming at such a terrible time, when they're celebrating the lunar new year back to you. >> kate, thank you just an hour after that california tragedy, at least 12 people were shot and wounded when gunfire erupted inside a baton rouge, louisiana nightclub early sunday morning during the press conference, baton rouge police said that three officers were outside of the club when the shooting began. they were immediately able to respond and administer

life-saving aid until emergency responders arrived they believe the shooting was a targeted attack. all of the victims were taken to the hospital and are in stable condition. police say the investigation is ongoing and have asked anyone with information to come forward. let's turn now to politics and a stunning development in the classified documents drama the fbi has conducted a search of president joe biden's delaware home, leading to another discovery of classified materials. nbc's elia rafa has this report. >> reporter: the unprecedented fbi search of a sitting president's home for classified documents escalating the legal and political situation for president biden. the white house revealing yet another bombshell late saturday, that six items with classification markings were discovered friday after an exhaustive 13-hour search of the president's wilmington, delaware home, some of them dating back to his time in the senate and as vice president >> his notes, his files, his memorabilia lists from decades ago, to just make sure they had

everything. >> reporter: the fbi conducting the search at the invitation of the president's legal team in coordination with the justice department, which is now reviewing the material >> after the lawyers found an initial additional document at the president's home, the president asked his team reach out to the doj and give them access to my house. >> reporter: it's the fourth such discovery after fewer than a dozen classified documents were found at the president's former office in washington, d.c. in november, along with more in his wilmington garage and adjacent room and recent weeks, though the total number is still unknown lawmakers on both sides of the aisle reacting to this latest revelation. >> he has become a serial classified document hoarder. >> when the information is found, it diminishes the stature of any person who is in possession of it because it's not supposed to happen >> reporter: some members of the president's own political party scrutinizing his first public comments since the appointment of a special counsel >> there is no there there i have no regrets. >> oh, i think he should have a lot of regrets.
