6:00 am
>> we do not appreciate when people come into our city with guns and have an altercation in the midst of a public setting here. >> a shootout in a crowded boardwalk leaving multiple people injured, including a 1-year-old. the search under way for one of the shooters and what police believe led up to that shooting. >> the battle over the debt limit moves to congress. we'll be live from washington. lawmakers working to approve the tentative deal in hopes of avoiding a devastating government default. this is "today in the bay." good tuesday morning to you. i'm scott mcgrew. marcus washington continues his vacation. >> it's 6:00 right now. i'm laura garcia. we're going to check in with kari, but mike has been tracking breaking news that has been certainly affecting the roadways as well this morning. >> it has. 87 gets crowded coming into downtown. there's a police investigation that continues there. let's take you to the maps and talk about the slower drive
6:01 am
you're going to see and the changes that happened in the last few seconds. bob redell is out there gathering information and he says that he had to move his crew. that's why north 87 may see some improvement. right now we're seeing a lot of backup, a lot of slowing. willow street is where the investigation was blocking your slow lane. i believe they're just reopening it now. but the crew and the approach, there may have been another incident that's happened on the approach, right after the curtner slowdown. so that whole section typically sees a build right about now. we're expecting more traffic to come in and the shift might happen to north 101. if that ripples over, that will affect 280 and the interchange. meanwhile, the rest of the bay, just your standard backup and east bay flow. >> we're starting out with our usual morning where we see clouds across the bay area and cool temperatures, as we take a look at santa rosa, it is 54 degrees and we are going to see temperatures in the mid-50s
6:02 am
through about 10:00. eventually we'll see a lot more sunshine breaking out, shaping up to be another nice day. and it's still cooler than normal as we only reach 68 degrees in santa rosa and we'll also see that in napa and novato, 68 in hayward. and oakland as well as san mateo headed for 66 degrees this afternoon, with low to mid-70s in the south bay. we're going to wrap up the month of may with cooler temperatures, but it gets warmer as we head into june. a look at that in the full forecast in a few minutes. significant day for disgraced theranos founder elizabeth holmes. she will report to a federal prison to begin serving her 11-year sentence for fraud. "today in the bay"'s kris sanchez is here. some people thought this would never come at all. >> right. and we have to say people because we know there were some very big high-profile, big-name investors who fell for it. but there were a lot of people who had bad tests because of that faulty technology that
6:03 am
never, ever worked. so the majority of this played out in silicon valley, her rise, her fall, the court case. but she is going to actually serve her term in bryan, texas, about 100 miles from where she grew up. she has extended family there. it is a minimum security facility where her day is going to start at 6:00 in the morning, where she is going to have to work every single day for 12 to 40 cents an hour and she will have limited visitation with her family. >> she's not going to be able to see her family any time she wants to, she's going to be able to do things only on whatever the schedule is for the institution she ends up reporting to. >> it's extraordinary. it's taken a long time to get here. we even watched her able to delay it more than once. >> oh, absolutely. >> and assuming she shows up, there is that, is there any chance of a delay between now and noon texas time? >> well, she got a break before,
6:04 am
the judge said, okay, we'll move it to may 30th, which is today. you can make child care arrangements and whatnot. i think the buck stops here. now, she may not. some people flee the country, some people find another way of not going into prison. but that's not what we expect. >> we do have cameras at the prison. we will know if she's not there on time. she's got to pay back hundreds of millions of dollars. >> both she and sunny balwani were ordered to pay restitution for this fraud, $453 million or whatever. but she does have assets. so it's not like she's going to make that at 12 to 40 cents an hour in prison, but legal analysts say. >> oftentimes these numbers don't get paid back. this has been difficult on silicon valley. we talked about silicon valley's culture of pushing the envelope. this was straight-out lies. this was not pushing the envelope. but this has made it harder on
6:05 am
some founders and women in particular. >> you know probably better than anybody, because you cover venture capitalists with your sand hill road podcast, women have said we want to elevate and help each other out, but this makes it really difficult because already we're starting behind, already we have to prove ourselves more, be smarter, faster, more creative. >> this is a one-off. this is something entirely different. we'll be covering this throughout the day. you can watch it on our app as well. we'll alert you when she walks in that door. kris sanchez, thank you. in the meantime, nine people are recovering after being shot near a popular beach in florida. police are still searching for one of the suspects. it happened just before 7:00 local time last night in hollywood, florida. about 20 miles north of miami. four children were injured, including a 1-year-old. we have footage from city tower cameras showing the panic that ensued at the hollywood beach
6:06 am
boardwalk. investigators say this all started after an argument between two groups of people. police detained a person of interest, but say a second person is still on the loose. the mayor of hollywood says they will not rest until they find the people who committed what they call reckless behavior. >> hollywood police department will leave no stone unturned. we do not appreciate when people come into our city with guns and have an altercation in the midst of a public setting here. >> the beach was full due to the memorial day holiday. and a woman from florida accused in the botched plastic surgery death of a kim kardashian look-alike returns to court for a bail hearing. vivian gomez faces two charges of involuntary manslaughter and practicing medicine without a license. prosecutors say she traveled from florida to a burlingame hotel room where they say she gave unlicensed plastic surgery-style injections to christina gourkani, an antioch
6:07 am
native, who died hours later. >> also today, a former san francisco fire commissioner is expected to return to the stand in an ongoing preliminary hearing surrounding a violent confrontation caught on video. don carmignani is involved or was involved with a street fight with a homeless man last month in san francisco. carmignani was hit on the head with a metal bar, suffered a skull fracture. authorities arrested, then released the other man allegedly involved in the fight. but that man's lawyers say carmignani often sprayed homeless people with bear spray, which his attorneys have denied. it is 6:06. to a live look in washington, d.c. the race to get the bipartisan agreement to raise the u.s. debt ceiling has reached the capitol. both president joe biden and house speaker kevin mccarthy are trying to secure support within their respective parties. >> reporter: brie jackson is live in washington. what's being done to make sure this actually gets done?
6:08 am
>> reporter: good morning. a lot of behind-the-scenes conversations, if we could only be a fly on the wall in some of these rooms where the conversations are happening. we do know the white house is working the phones trying to sell this bipartisan deal to moderates, as well as progressive democrats. with a bipartisan deal to avoid a government default, the focus is now on securing enough votes to get the bill through congress. >> i spoke to mcconnell, i spoke to a whole bunch of people, and it feels good. >> reporter: the two-year deal suspends the nation's borrowing limit until early 2025, holds non-defense spending flat next year with a 1% increase in 2025, while bumping up military spending, something president biden wanted. >> i think president biden did about the best he could do in a very difficult situation. >> reporter: republicans are touting wins, including a new congressional budget office estimate projecting the deal would cut spending more than
6:09 am
anticipated. but democrats aren't happy about the deal's expanded work requirements for federal food stamp recipients. >> i feel like we are being held hostage, we should be in regular order, we should never be in this position again. and yet i cannot and will not be a rubber-stamp. >> reporter: some hard-line republicans also voiced concerns. >> there are going to be detractors. >> reporter: despite pushback, there's optimism. >> it's going to get through the house, it's going to get through the senate and signed into law by the president. >> reporter: the race is on for congress to secure votes and get the debt ceiling bill to the president's desk before the june 5th default deadline. and the committee meets today to process the debt ceiling bill and the measure is expected to go before the full house for a vote on wednesday. >> you and i will both be watching carefully. thank you. >> and the rest of the nation. let's take a live look outside overlooking san francisco. some cloudy start to our day. kari has a look at our forecast.
6:10 am
it's been mild lately, very nice. >> it's been nice for the inland areas. i know that may gray has been doing its thing in san francisco and along the coastline and you would like to see a little more of this, the sunshine we're seeing over the south bay. we're going to see it clearing up a lot more quickly in the inland valleys, but also going back to some cooler-than-normal temperatures. we're at 53 degrees in san jose, we'll be at 62 degrees at 10:00 and at lunchtime it's 67 degrees, only reaching 73 later this afternoon. mostly upper 60s and low 70s for today as the sky clears out and then we'll also see more of the same weather tomorrow, while a few of our inland valleys will be just slightly warmer, like fairfield and santa rosa reaching 77 degrees. we'll talk about the cool end of may and the slightly warmer start to june coming up in a few minutes. as you head out, mike, you might want to go out of your way just a little for lower gas prices. >> we'll show you the cheapest
6:11 am
gas prices for given areas. for alameda county, coming in for hayward, the marathon $4.09. then we're going to zero in on san jose's campbell, the best price reported is $4.21 at the safeway on west hamilton avenue. that's been the new trend. in the north bay, a lot higher for sonoma, prices $4.65 at santa rosa on safeway, mendocino avenue. the north bay, especially that county, a lot higher than $4.50 in most areas. a look at the roadways, most of it is standard but the south bay continues with the big problem for north 87 and the investigation that continues because there was a shooting there alongside 87. police have blocked the slow lane. bob redell did not get to move from the area. he's back there on north 87. you see the slower drive on the
6:12 am
sensors and bob's live shot is there with northbound 87 still restricted. there are two larger police department vehicles for the investigation that continues just north of curtner. the backup forms just between capitol and curtner and it will continue to build as more traffic comes into downtown san jose. that is a delay for you. back to you. >> we'll check in with bob for a live report. elon musk heads overseas to shore up business. tesla plans in az why hit an unexpected snag. his effort to ease tensions. >> and liberation for a trapped bear in lake tahoe. how did he manage to get stuck in the first place? we're going to show you the quick thinking that set him free. you're watching "today ithe bay."n
6:13 am
6:14 am
6:15 am
it's tuesday morning, and maybe back to work for you, as we head to the east bay, looking at pleasant hill. it's a mostly cloudy morning, temperatures in the mid-50s, it's going to eventually become a really comfortable afternoon with sunshine. more of this weather continues, but then slight changes ahead. we'll talk about that coming up in a few minutes. and more changes right now, i believe they're for real opening that slow lane on north 87, the area we're zooming in on here is causing a big jam-up because of the investigation
6:16 am
around willow street. bob redell was on scene but has been asked to leave the freeway because of movement going on. we'll track the build, the ripple and impacts in the south bay coming up. wall street is set to open higher after the white house and republicans struck a tentative deal to raise the debt ceiling. as brie reported, congress could vo measure as soon as tomorrow. but there's still some hurdles to clear. markets closed higher friday, s&p, nasdaq posting gains for the week. in focus, we've got data on home prices and consumer confidence. tesla ceo elon musk's private jet arrived in china overnight according to reuters. we have video of musk at the opening of the plant in shanghai a few years back. tesla now trying to expand its production of cars and large-scale batteries called mega packs in that city. but the chinese government has been slow in approving the process. musk will meet with senior chinese leaders, visit the tesla plant as well. it comes as the company grapples with intensified competition
6:17 am
with chinese automakers. tesla not commenting on whether musk has arrived in china. we know his plane has. but that would be his first visit to the country in three years. trending this morning, the world's best spellers are in maryland to compete in the annual scripps national spelling bee. >> this is always such a great event and this year's competition features more than 200 spellers, some of them from the bay area. three students are looking to make the bay area proud. they will be looking to take home the big prize. we're rooting them on. all middle schoolers from san ramon. the preliminary round starts at 9:00 this morning. it will be followed by the quarterfinals and semifinals tomorrow and then the finals will be held on thursday. the winner gets to take home more than $50,000 in cash and of course a great honor. good luck to them.
6:18 am
check out this video of a bear trapped inside of a car in lake tahoe. it was released by the sheriff's office. officers eventually were able to open the car door. they attached a rope to it and then pulled it from a safe distance, no doubt, and let the bear out. no word on how the bear got into the car, but they're pretty crafty. authorities say it's an important reminder to always be vigilant around any type of bear, take all your food, candy, wrappers, whatever, take it out of your car if you happen to be in tahoe, because they can open the door and slobber everywhere and scratch everything to get out. >> we know they can open the door, but how did it close the door behind him? >> sometimes they're just -- >> unlucky? >> i'm wondering now, maybe the car was locked. because they're so good, i'm wondering if maybe they can. >> then again, i guess if the
6:19 am
door is open and it's rocking around, it could close the door. >> they're huge. we've had the center console ripped out. they look for anything, gum. >> wow. >> you name it. >> heads up. making my plans now. >> around here, no bears, but lots of beautiful weather. it's been so nice lately, and i say nice because i live in the valley. people in san francisco and along the coast are like, okay, i want some warmer weather, some sunshine. we're starting out with more clouds as we take a look at this live view in oakland and we do still have quite a few events going on. heads up that it's going to be very busy as people are going back to work. they're leaving the office around 5:00, but then we have first pitch of the a's game at 6:40. it will be about 62 degrees, breezy, temperatures tonight at the coliseum is going to be in the mid-50s. if you're across the bay in san francisco, first pitch for the
6:20 am
giants game right at about the same time, so this is going to be a mess. and it's also going to be busy with those temperatures in the upper 50s with some gusty winds for the evening. as we zoom into the south bay, still more very mild weather for this time of year, only reaching 72 in milpitas, 75 in los gatos and 72 in gilroy. we're seeing about the same temperatures for danville and walnut creek, upper 60s for hayward and oakland and san mateo reaching 66 degrees, while still in the upper 50s for half moon bay. also upper 50s for the marina district and the outer sunset, and downtown area 62 degrees. 68 in novato, about the same in santa rosa as well as napa today. we've seen a lot of clouds and eventually it clears out, but we have this weather setup where we still have this very stubborn area of low pressure off the coast and it's giving us with its counterclockwise wind flow that ocean breeze that's bringing in cooler temperatures, while in the pacific northwest the pattern has been flipped and
6:21 am
they have high pressure giving them some very warm weather. we're going to start to see the changing gradually. so we're going to see those temperatures going from low 70s today to low 80s for friday, mid-80s for the weekend. it will actually feel like june out there as we welcome in the new month, just slightly warmer in san francisco. mike, you've been watching the south bay. what's the update? >> i believe they have cleared the lane that was blocked, the reason is because bob redell's crew was asked to leave the scene. typically that means traffic is going to come through and it's not safe alongside the freeway. the speeds have improved quite a bit over the last few minutes. there may be an investigation continuing on the shoulder, and that would be good reason for more slowing because of the distraction. north of curt nur all the way toward 280 and downtown san jose, the investigation is continuing for an overnight shooting that happened in that area. meanwhile, the impact is less
6:22 am
for 87 and we don't see the build for 101. a little bit of slowing around oakland road. but more traffic comes in out of south county, look at all of this from san martin, into morgan hill. a new crash at cochran might delay folks a bit. we'll track 87 closely, as well as the rest of silicon valley. the rest of the bay shows a smooth drive, backup at the bay bridge toll plaza and a typical pattern. back to you. 6:21 right now. this morning we continue to amplify the aapi experience. >> whahat's wrongng w with you? >> i thinknk y your dadad gavee compmpliment. feels weweird. >> maybebe we shouldn't't get h betttter. >> c coming upp nextt onn "toto the bay,"" our sit-down conversasation withh the direct of the f film "dealiling with d. how t the bay a area filmm is wg to addreress the impacts cultur mamay havee on your mental

welcome back. throughout the month of may we're amplifying the aapi experience as it relates to our current world, and i was lucky to get two special guests to join me in studio to talk about an important collaboration as this month comes to a close. we're going to begin with writer, director, filmmaker tom huang telling us about the latest film "dealing with dad". >> a family dealing with a depressed dad, who is actually nicer depressed, so they're
6:26 am
figuring out whether they want to get him better or not. it's a drama/comedy. >> he offered us money. >> yeah, that's pretty great, though, right? >> what's wrong with you? >> i think your dad gave me a compliment. feels weird. >> maybe we shouldn't get him better. >> culturally, too, with our asian american family, it's like depression isn't looked at as a disease or anything. so i think my mom and the rest of the family and friends were just like, oh, he's just being tired or he's lazy, and so it was just hard for them to act on anything. >> your latest work has been winning awards at many festivals and i think it's been extending the run, which is a great thing for any filmmaker, but it's been creating a conversation for a topic that's often avoided, especially in aapi families. may is also mental health awareness month, as you both know, and this ties heavily into
6:27 am
the story line. so we're going to bring in suzanne here. >> i'm from santa clara county behavioral health and we have a lot of different services to address and bring awareness to mental health. our behavioral health department has a lot of really wonderful clinicians, we have a lot of different programs such as our urgent care staff, our mobile crisis team, and our outpatient clinics. we're equipped with all the mental health professionals, psychiatrists, rehab counselors, social workers, to be able to help assess and make sure that we provide the treatment and be able to help folks that need the help. >> suzanne wanted to make sure we emphasize that 988 number for santa clara county, folks in crisis can call that number and they have a team ready to help. if you're interested and available tonight, they are sponsoring two showings of tom's movie "dealing with dad". the first one is tonight and the
6:28 am
next one is tomorrow night at the milpitas theatre, at the great mall. i'm going to moderate tonight's q&a, robert handa will do it for tomorrow night's showing. i hope you come out because we'll have a discussion and it should be a good one and enlightening in many respects. >> sounds good. well, busy morning here on "today in the bay." we're following breaking news in the south bay, there's been a shooting off the freeway that turned deadly. we'll be live with new details on that unfolding investigation. >> reporter: b.a.r.t. is welcoming passengers back on their trains. they say they're stepping up their safety measures and cleanliness on trains. but is it enough to get passengers to come onboard?
6:29 am
6:30 am
6:31 am
breaking right now at 6:30, a deadly shooting near a south bay freeway. we're live with an update on the victims and the investigation. >> b.a.r.t. makes a new push to bring back more riders. the new measures announced today to keep you protected. >> and entering the homestretch. a critical late-night hearing laying out what it will take to bring the a's to las vegas. the brand new details on the deal that may end up sending them packing. "today in the bay" continues right now. here we go, tuesday morning.
6:32 am
thanks for starting your day with us. i'm laura garcia. >> i'm scott mcgrew. marcus has the morning off. we start with breaking news at a south bay, a person has been shot and killed at a homeless encampment. bob redell is live. any arrests? >> reporter: not as of yet. a police officer on the scene did tell us they have a suspect description but they have not found this person yet. we're at police headquarters, a couple of miles from here. this is video we shot in the past hour. this is just off northbound highway 87 before the 280-680 connecter just south of the downtown area. with shooting happenedin the 10:00 hour last night in a homeless encampment off the freeway. a man and woman were both shot. one of them did die at the scene, the other was taken to the hospital. we don't have details on what led up to the shooting and we don't know of any arrests as of
6:33 am
yet. as a result, part of northbound 87, the far right lane, is shut down for a short time. but so far, it wasn't having too much impact on the traffic because it's just a short closure and we know that the police department is waiting for the sun to come up, which is coming up right now, so they can get a better look at the scene in the daylight and then they will eventually be shutting down that scene and leaving and reopening the road. reporting live in san jose, bob redell, "today in the bay." >> thanks for the latest there, bob. let's turn to mike. how is the backup? >> it's a short distance, what bob was talking about. it's not very long, the part of 87 that is closed, but it is a critical section north of curtner. let's take it to full screen so folks can look at the sensors. i apologize if it was confusing, it was confusing for us, too. bob was asked to leave the scene because of the investigation going on, however they did not reopen that right lane. it's still blocked.
6:34 am
that is continuing to cause backup for north 87. lighter traffic as we come off of a holiday weekend. we probably won't see the bigger traffic until tomorrow. we're looking at the arrow at the top of the screen for more traffic to come in off 101 as folks might take capitol expressway to avoid that section of 87, which continues to show more slowing and buildup because of the one lane and the distraction of the investigation. the rest of the bay is looking like a smooth flow of traffic, including the bay bridge. we know we always have the backup at bay bridge and low clouds hovering around. >> maybe people took an extra day because we're not seeing as much going on, and it's also about the same weather. so it would be a good day to extend that weekend. take a look at gilroy and the way we're starting out with temperatures in the low 50s and we will gradually see it clearing out, going from 52 at 7:00 to 64 degrees at noontime.
6:35 am
we're going to reach into the low 70s in the south carolina, south county, but mostly upper 60s for much of the bay area, while the coastal areas in san francisco will be in the upper 50s and low 60s through at least tomorrow. we'll talk about a gradual warm-up in the microclimate forecast in a few minutes. >> thanks, kari. 6:34 right now. b.a.r.t. this morning is making a new push to assure riders they don't have to worry about safety on b.a.r.t. trains. it comes as the agency struggles with bringing ridership levels back from the depths of the pandemic. ginger conejero saab is live this morning, and what's the message that you're hearing from b.a.r.t. leaders this morning? >> reporter: good morning, laura. well, it's an invite and a message for passengers to come back on b.a.r.t.'s trains, feeling more safe and more secure than they did pre-pandemic. you can actually see some of the b.a.r.t. leadership here on the
6:36 am
platform with us, but they made a big announcement this morning that over 250 arrests were made in the month of march, over 260 arrests in the month of april. these are the biggest numbers they've made as far as arrests go since the pandemic began. not only will there be more police patrolling the trains, they say there will also be a host of other civilian officers and crisis management officers on foot around the stations. all this is in response to continuing calls for more safety from passengers. a poll from the bay area council reported 78% of passengers would also ride more if b.a.r.t. was cleaner. 90% of those polled said b.a.r.t. should prioritize cleaning stations and trains, 62% said b.a.r.t. should improve fare gates and 79% said they would feel more comfortable with uniformed police or security is also onboard. >> it's not just with my b.a.r.t. hat on, and i want to do absolutely everything i can to make sure that incidents
6:37 am
don't happen on b.a.r.t. and it takes a lot of cooperation. >> i don't deny that people have a perception of a lack of safety right now. what our deployment is doing is trying to change that perception. the vast majority of people who come to b.a.r.t. to ride the train have a very good experience on their trip, but there are isolated incidents that occur in the system that we're working very hard to address those. >> reporter: you heard there both from bart board president janice li first and then interim police chief kevin franklin. they're still on the platform now taking questions from members of the press and the big message today is they are hard at work to make passengers feel more secure, but their work is not done. there are still a number of vacancies for b.a.r.t. police officers. chief franklin announcing that he does have more than 30 vacancies he's ready to fill. he says this is also an opportunity for him to encourage
6:38 am
people to go out for those jobs as they really want to re-brand b.a.r.t. for its passengers. that's the latest from san francisco, ginger conejero saab, "today in the bay." >> let's hope it all helps. more patrols, cleaner trains, and people will head on out. thank you very much. it is 6:37. happening now, san jose police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who dragged a cyclist 400 feet. the department releasing new surveillance video. the crash happened march 18th around 1:00 in the morning on park avenue near barack obama boulevard. there's a suspect vehicle, it's a small black suv, maybe a sedan. the car was last seen on san carlos street. witnesses who live in the neighborhood say it's routine for cars to speed past red lights and many feel unsafe. >> i tell my family, my children, to look both ways, follow the guidelines. but what use is it if we follow
6:39 am
and the drivers don't? >> and of course police are asking for help from anyone who might have seen something and have information. some frightening moments for memorial day beachgoers in santa cruz. a police standoff forced hundreds to run for safety. video shows people running after hearing gunshots. in another video, you can see police with their guns drawn on two men who officers quickly detained. so far, police are not releasing any new details. today the man accused in the deadly stabbing of a tech executive in san francisco is expected back in court for a preliminary hearing. in early april investigators say nima momeni killed cash app founder bob lee in a dispute surrounding momeni's sister. today the judge is expected to hear arguments about whether the case should go to trial. that's a routine step in criminal cases.
6:40 am
new this morning, prosecutors are shooting down defense attorneys' arguments to toss criminal charges against disgraced crypto king sam bankman-fried who pleaded not guilty to defrauding customers. he's currently out on bail living in his parents' home in palo alto. in may his attorneys filed papers insisting prosecutors overreached turning regulatory issues into federal crimes. prosecutors responded yesterday calling the claims meritless. a late-night legislative session is offering new details and perhaps less hope for a's fans hoping the team reconsiders moving to las vegas. that meeting held by nevada lawmakers on memorial day to hammer out plans for a new a's stadium on the strip. lawmakers introduced the bill late last week. nevada's stadium authority projects more than 2 million people would attend baseball games every year, but one assemblyman says the a's will need to win games to a tact a
6:41 am
local fan base. >> it's no secret that the team is not very good right now. how much of your projections about visitation, about money that's going to be generated is dependent on las vegas locals taking the trip over to the tropicana site and going to the game there? >> the bill says the state would commit up to $380 million towards constructing a new baseball stadium, with 30,000 seats and a retractible roof. the a's would then sign a 30-year lease. taking a live look out at san jose, which if you're around long enough, was once considered a possibility for the a's. no more. but it's a lovely baseball day. >> yeah, we've got two baseball games going on this afternoon, and they're at about the same time. the oakland a's will have a mostly cloudy start, and at first pitch it's going to be at about 62 degrees, breezy winds, and also cooling down quickly as we go into tonight. once again, first pitch for the
6:42 am
