his mounting legal troubles. overnight, former president trump defiant when asked during a fox town hall in iowa about new developments in a special counsel investigation into his handling of classified documents. >> all i know is this. everything i did was right. >> reporter: the special counsel's office has a recording of mr. trump discussing a a recn planning document he kep related to iran, acknowledging on the tape it was classified. while the special counsel's office is not commenting, the recording was made during a 2021 meeting in mr. trump's home including helping chief of staff mark meadows write his memoir. nbc news has not heard the recording, which was played for a grand jury. >> i have the right to declassify as president. >> reporter: president biden is facing an investigation into his handling of classified documents. the controversy comes as the 2024 presidential campaign heats up with more gop candidates,

the capital in months. yesterday outside of a kyiv health clinic, a downed mission fragment killed three people this man says his wife was trying to get into the shelter, but it was locked. the person tasked with opening the shelter allegedly didn't do it, and city officials say a criminal investigation is now underway kyiv's mayor says the missile fragments fell just four minutes after the siren sounded. a mother and daughter were also killed here the child's grandfather watching over the 9-year-old's bodi. ukraine's air defense has been keeping up with the russian bombardment, but the top item this week additional munitions for air patriot defense systems. the u.s. investment here is widely felt. in the donbas region ukrainian troops trained by u.s. troops are preparing for a counteroffensive most of these guys did not have professional militar experience before the war. they had basic training, which

spree spanning two cities. as of now igators say the same suspect was invol in a crime spree that lasted at least three locations. we do know the investigators are looking to see if several other violent crimes are related. >> san jose police were first called to kooser road where a person was stabbed, and then carjacked. police then responded to a second stabbing and attempted carjacking about three miles away in the 1800 block of hillsdale avenue. soon thereafter, officers spotted the suspect near 16th street and santa clara street. investigators say he intentionally drove into two people, killing them both, before taking off again. police issued a statewide warning at around 4:30. milpitas police responded to another stabbing near the 400 block of jacklin road. that victim also did not survive. that's when the crime spree finally came to an end, as milpitas police arrested him in a nearby neighborhood.

on a friday morning and a new development in thi high-profile legal battle between former couple brad pitt and angelina jolie. >> good morning, guys. things have gotten ugly between the one-time couple. first there was a public custody dispute over their children. now this ongoing lawsuit over a french vineyard the pair bought together once known as hollywood's sweethearts, brad pitt and angelina jolie first met on a movie set. >> you still alive, baby >> battling it out on the big screen in "mr. and mrs. smith. but now the former flames are fighting a real-life battle in court. pitt first sued jolie last year claiming she sold her stake in a french winery in 2008 at the time calling it a loving home for their six children and even
