cloud cover with mild temperatures but don't worry about it, if you have lunch plans, look at those temperatures, as we go through the middle of the day, already 79 degrees by 2:00 and we will see our michael microclimate forecast playing out with 70s along the east bay shoreline with lots of 80s, maybe even 90s in some spots. i will walk you through the forecast in just a little bit. we've got changes ahead. we begin with breaking news this morning, a magnitude 4.3 earthquake shook parts of the bay area just after 5:00 this morning. it was centered in the lake county town of, about 25 miles north of calistoga. as you can see here, are seismograph picked up the shaking. so far, no reports of any damage . people nearby in sonoma county and as far south as san

francisco say they felt the tumbler. if you felt it, let us know on twitter. several people are lucky to be alive, after east bay police pulled them from a burning car. it happened around 1:00 this morning in danville. witnesses say a car was speeding and hit another car before it rolled over and caught fire. this happened right outside the starbucks at the shopping center. you can see the car it hit lost its front bumper and our camera saw paramedics take at least one person in an ambulance. a group of people were pulled from the burning car. >> they said they heard a loud bang and they ran over to see what was happening, and they just saw police cars and the big fire, you could feel the warmth of the fire across the street. >> parts of camino and crow

canyon road remain closed as the investigation continues. we will bring you updates as we learn more. now to a ministry unfolding in marin county, where a man was found shot a hiking trail. the sheriff's office received a call yesterday afternoon from a hiking trail in san geronimo, that's a census designated place at the north end of mount camel southwest of nevada. a man reported that he found his 83-year-old friend suffering from a head wound while they were on a hike. fire responders now say it was a suspected gunshot wound to the head. the sheriff's office has received several calls over the last few weeks that someone with a firearm around this area, they are now reviewing those calls, following up on any leads. the police at the public is not in imminent danger. at last check the victim is in

critical condition. this morning, we have new exclusive information and video connected to a deadly crime spree in the south bay. for stabbings, for hit and runs, three people left dead, all in the span of an hour and a half. and police believe just one man is responsible. police arrested 31-year-old kevin parker of san jose, about three hours after the rampage began thursday night. he is being blamed for the stabbings, and hit and runs, at six different crime scenes that you see on your screen, spanning 20 miles a crossed san jose. things turned deadly in downtown san jose when it's believed he killed an elderly couple. you can see in this neighbors security camera, it capture the moments when the suspect ran down the elderly couple with a carjacked suv. we spoke spoke exclusively with the son of the couple. his parents were 71.

later, another stabbing on 10th and santa clara, and then this happened, police say parkourana intentionally drove into a driveway to run down a husband and wife on 16th street a neighbor who didn't want to show his face on camera shared the surveillance footage with us. >> it was horrific. i've never seen anything like that. you don't have to have a gun, a knife and a car will kill lots of people. >> the suspect is accused of striking a person on a motorized scooter in the same area. two hours later, he was arrested. >> he has a long criminal history and court documents show yes previous felonies, convictions including assault, possessing a pipe bomb and vandalism. parkourana also spent time in a mental health court. >> our city, county and state, must do a better job of holding people accountable, for getting the care they need are

once detectives identified morale is, as the suspect, they learned he was already in juvenile hall for unrelated gun charges. the mercury news reports he's also a suspect in the killing of two teenage brothers at a party in oakland. the sheriff's office has released a statement saying in part, quote, due to his extensive and violent criminal history and multiple jurisdictions, a petition was submitted to the das office to have him charged as an adult. unfortunately, that petition was denied the now 18-year-old was sentenced to 17 years at a juvenile justice center and the sheriff said he could be allowed probation even sooner. more problems for the a's, this time, in nevada. a budget battle between nevada's republican governor and democratic lawmakers could jeopardize the plan to build the park on the las vegas strip. the governor vetoed a key veto

back here locally, we have an update on the story of the oakland a's fan who was grabbed and nearly hit by a los angeles third baseman. oakland police say they are investigation is closed, that's because the fan never came forward, this, according to tmz sports. you may recall it happened after the march 31st season home opener at the oakland coliseum as he was walking from the visitors dugout to the clubhouse. he exchanged words with the fan, grabbed him by his sweatshirt and took a swipe at the spectator. there, you see it, he was suspended for four games, acknowledged he made a mistake and apologized to the fan. according to oakland pd, if the victim were to come forward at a later date, the case would be reopened, or could, rather. the earthquakes are hoping to score big with a world record attempt today and you can help th. can help th. em

our long-range outlook showing that we could have the development of some or thunderstorm activity in the sierra so if you have plans to head to tahoe, yosemite, that is what could await you there and it'll start to move into the bay area, tapping into some of that subtropical moisture. some of that rain will be on tuesday, south of the golden gate ridge, before it becomes body and reaches up into parts of the north bay. so make sure if you do have the umbrella on hand, you have to know when to seek shelter as the rain chances develop. as we go through the rest of the week, tuesday will be our best bet for that activity before the temperatures, look at brentwood, start to go down after that. we will go from the 90s into the 80s and stay cruising in the 70s. i'll leave you with the seven- day forecast, in san francisco. a beautiful day to get out there before we start to see the changes early next week an d

top stories we are following this morning. breaking news out of the east bay, where several people are lucky to be alive after police pulled them from a burning car. happened around 1:00 this morning in danville. witnesses say car was speeding and hit another car before it rolled over and caught fire. this happened right outside of a starbucks at the top sahara crossing shopping center, you can see that car lost its front bumper. a group of witnesses say police pulled multiple people from that car and told us more about what they saw. >> they heard a really loud bang , they ran over to the street to see what happened and they just saw police cars, you can feel the warmth of the fire across the street. >> some of the roads remain closed around the shopping center and the investigation continues this morning. a magnitude 4.3 earthquake

shook parts of the bay area, just after 5:00 this morning, centered in the lake county town of cobb, about 25 miles north of calistoga. our seismograph picked up the shaking as you can see there. so far, no reports of damage. people in nearby sonoma county and as far south as san francisco say they felt the tumbler. if you felt it, let us know on twitter. cinthia has one last look up the forecast before we go. >> first saturday of june, and there's lots to do, plenty of sunshine once we do mix out of the clouds. we are going to see a nice day today and tomorrow, really, the peak of the heat comes tomorrow
