can be scorching hot out there. so that makes you not want to stay out there all day long. look at these high temperatures. today headed for 67 degrees and tomorrow we're going to see a mostly cloudy day but we're feeling very mild with a high of about 75. maybe a little more sunshine on sunday, with temperatures still staying nice and cool in the low 70s. now, we've also seen a lot of active weather across the region with showers and thunderstorms developing over the sierra. even some of the mountains over the north bay have had some lightning strikes during the afternoons, and this is a loop of the past 24 hours. we still have a lot of action happening. so if you will be traveling, just keep that in mind that you may need to get indoors quickly. but most of that is staying away from us. as we take a look at high temperatures for today, we're looking at some low 60s near the coast. mid to upper 60s across the bay and some low 70s for our inland valleys, reaching 77 in morgan hill. maybe a little warmer there as
6:52 am
well, with 78 in fairfield, while most of us are in the low 70s for the afternoon saturday, as well as sunday. so no major changes, but it will be mainly cloudy. we're watching out across the region because there will be some showers and thunderstorms developing, even just to the east of us as we look at the sacramento valley. there could be showers and thunderstorms. and then it looks like once again a lot of that falls apart before getting here, but there will be that slight chance of rain that some of that could make it into a few areas in the bay area for the end of the weekend. if you're looking at, okay, it's june, i'm making some beach plans, along the coastline this is what temperatures are like, in the upper 50s. there is not a significant warm-up there. only some mid-60s for next weekend. so as we take a look at our seven-day forecast, steady temperatures for the most part. we'll just at times see more clouds than sun and that will definitely be the case for today. mike, we do still have the friday light commute for the morning. >> absolutely. it's still friday morning so that would stay consistent.

toward the bay bridge, we consistently have a little more slowing each time we do a check. now there's slowing toward the richmond bridge as well heading into san rafael. highway 37 holding steady toward sonoma raceway, we're looking at the nascar activities and that will be a congestion point. right now very clear. highway 4 shows the build, typical coming toward 680. i just told you about the closure starting tonight at 10:00, lasting throughout the entire weekend, 55 hours. the south bay does show a smooth flow of traffic. there's a couple of incidents on 17 but they should be off to the shoulder. this will mean a closure for caltrain and a couple of track work projects going on all weekend. check caltrain's website as well as b.a.r.t., for b.a.r.t. orinda and rockridge and caltrain we'll have the bus bridge this place. and the blue and green lines are working on tracks as well. >> a lot of info.
