>> it looks good. it's still been cool. a little cooler than normal. we're heading over to belmont where we are going to see some sunshine by about 11:00, so we're starting out with a mostly cloudy 58 degrees at 10:00, and then we'll see some mid-60s at 11:00, upper 60s as we go into the afternoon. eventually reaching into the low 70s in san mateo. we'll also see a high of 71 in oakland and 81 in livermore. really just depends on where you are as to what kind of weather you'll see today and how quickly it clears. we'll see some sunshine for much of the afternoon in the inland valleys. cinthia, you have an update on that deadly crash? >> yeah, so this is northbound 680 as people are trying to make their way around east san jose, right before you get to berryessa, passing the regional medical center. unfortunately, this fire has turned deadly and crews are on the scene trying to open up more lanes. the buildup is also coming about in parts of 101 around san jose.

so any way to try to avoid it is going to be slow and go, as well as other parts of the bay area. like the bay bridge, about 13 minutes to make it across the span. the metering lights haven't been officially turned on by chp this morning so i'll check on what's going on there. it makes they think something is happening once you make your way into mid span. >> thank you so much. we are following breaking news this morning, an apparent deadly shooting investigation unfolding in san leandro. this happened around 9:00 last night at the garden apartments near washington avenue just off of 880. police found two people shot, both of them taken to the hospital. a witness telling our photographer there that his 17-year-old grandson was shot and killed. we're still awaiting more information from police on that incident. we're also learning more about an overnight fire in the east bay. this happened on albany and cleveland avenue. this is between 80 and 580 near golden gate fields.

"today in the bay"'s ginger conejero saab is live at the airport this morning, probably really frustrating night last night for travelers. how is it looking this morning, ginger? >> reporter: laura, this morning looking much, much better than it did last night. things are back to normal here at sfo. both at the international terminal and also at the domestic terminal. i was making my rounds down at the domestic terminal where it is quite a busy morning. but the faa reporting no delays and none also related to the power outage last night. the outage itself didn't last long, from 8:30 to 10:00 p.m.
6:04 am
last night. those i spoke with say it was pretty hectic, and you can see why. this is video from inside one of the terminals and it shows what it looked like when it went dark, when things went to a standstill at the airport. in another video you can see some lights are on but all the monitors are dark. frustration from passengers on twitter over what was going on. one saying passengers on an air canada flight were on the ground for more than two hours after landing. another person saying they were confused, they were told they were waiting because there was no gate assignment. some flights were diverted to san jose last night, other flights were canceled altogether, including a flight to north carolina. now, we did reach out to the airport to learn more details about what caused that power outage. we have yet to hear back. but the good news is for passengers looking to fly out of the airport or come into the airport this morning, it looks to be a much smoother experience.
