ever be the same again after we saw that snail so what can people do to keep bugs like these away from their homes? >> reporter: sure, good question when it concerns lantern flies, the time to act is right now, because they lay their eggs in september and october. what you'll want to do is get a pest spray technician to come out there and spray all of your landscaping down what they can do is actually inject insecticide into the tree and seal the bark. the snails like damp wood and plaster, so stay on top of maintenance around your house. and fencing and sealing cracks can help to keep out crickets. when it concerns the lantern flies, the good news is nature does appear to be taking its court. course they are developing natural predators, cutting down on the numbers. but you might say they're still a little bit out of hand for the time being >> i would say so. >> reporter: savannah, hoda, back to you. >> maybe those snails could go after them sam, thank you >> thanks, sam coming up, guys, calling all "yellowstone" fans big news this morning on the future of that wildly popular

sabotaging attempts to cancel. >> nbc's vicky nguyen is here with more. hey, vicky, good morning >> lay out this lawsuit, it sounds like they're saying, amazon, you tricked people into signing up, and then you made it impossible for them to cancel. this is the essence of the ftc complaint. >> i'm still reeling from the connection of what happened in the olden days to this, because it is such a parallel. right? >> nothing new >> you got roped into this thing and didn't know how to get out of it. that's essentially what the ftc is alleging in this lawsuit. and one of the ways the ftc enforces the law is by suing companies. there's really strong language in this lawsuit. they're alleging amazon duped millions of consumers into unknowingly signing up for prime memberships by making it difficult to just make a straight purchase. when you went to the checkout, it was like, can i buy this? i'm buying it with prime and you would automatically be enrolled. then the ftc also saying that amazon used dark patterns to keep people stuck in the recurring membership dark patterns is something that happens online where you're basically designing an interface
7:43 am
that makes it very confusing, manipulative or deceptive for users to get out of something. and complicating that entire cancellation process. cancellation process for its part, the ftc basically put it very clearly. they said, amazon tricked and trapped people into recurring subscriptions without their consent, not only frustrating users, but also costing them significant money. we should note, amazon fervently denies these accusations, in a statement to nbc news, they say the ftc's claims are false on the facts and the law and by design, we make it clear and simple for customers to both sign up for and cancel their prime membership a lot of comments online about this >> back in march, i remember we did a "today" show exclusive where the ftc was trying to figure out a way to make it easier for you to cancel, something quick. did that ever come into play >> it is in the public comment period right now, hoda if it were to take effect, the ftc would give companies six months to comply with this rule. the rule would require companies to make it as easy for you to
